Fulmer to Colorado?

He'll end up at UVA or A&M.

UVA seems very unlikely to me. Al Groh said he could bring in good talent and for a while he did bring in good talent mainly from up North where his name meant NFL to kids.

Groh has been struggling in part because he cannot recruit the Tidewater area.

Larry Slade was supposed to recruit the Tidewater area for Fulmer. He missed again and again and again on top recruits.

Also UVA is snotty enough to not like too much of a southern accent at pressers. They like to think they are above that which is why they are now losing to William and Mary with their bow ties on.

You said Kelly could hire guys who have ties to those areas and be fine. To get guys who can get you good enough players in that league, you better have some juice. Gary Patterson of Todd Graham would beat Brian Kelly every time hiring assistants. Kelly has been defined in his profession. Cincinnati is as goos as he's ever going to do.

Those two guys can only have so many assistants and Todd Graham may not be at Tulsa that much longer. I'm not saying he's going to hire a guy the equivalent of Ed Orgeron, but he can get a guy that knows the area and can land him some recruits. I highly doubt Brian Kelly is done climbing the ladder. He'll get a job offer before long.

And I'm pretty sure Colorado wants a guy with some semblance of discipline. Fulmer is about the last guy you'd want if that's a major requirement.

If Rich Rod had the same record as Fulmer over the last decade while at the same school with his system firmly in place, would you hire him? To compare Fulmer at UT to Roch Rod at Michigan is asinine and you know it. Not to mention raking in highly ranked classes the whole time. I will bold that little fact since you so conveniently left it out when you "quoted" me.

....I didnt disregard your other thought, but if you want to get angry about it go right ahead, just dont type on that keyboard too hard.

All I looked at was that one sentence, which was it's own thought (and had been quoted as a single line before too earlier in this thread, so you've got someone else to go yell at)...anyways looked at that one line of thought and asked, ok by this - does that also mean this.

BTW, glad this got moved out of the main forum

If Fulmer can lose to Wyoming with the players that UT recriuts, I don't think he can win at Colorado either. Not to mention our overall record while he was raking in highly ranked classes here the past decade.
Wyoming had everything to do with Fulmer getting fired midweek and them missing practice and not being able to focus. It was a sad game but I don't pin that one on Fulmer.

I directly pin that loss on Fulmer simply based on their performance against NIU, UCLA and Auburn.

I pin the win on Ward Dobbs and his two interceptions... We could sure use him this year

Wyoming’s coach was also being shown the door. I guess the psyche of our players was more fragile.

I was stunned that Josh Briscoe was able to shrug off that nagging strained vaginal muscle of his and suit up that day. A true profile in courage.

Maybe he'd like Steve Spurrier, Chip Kelly or Tom O'briens job. None of them seem to want it very badly.
