Fulmer will never fire Holly

That would be a stupid decision and Fulmer looks like a smart guy.

Fans living in the past or fans who are excited about the direction of the Lady Vols program, 12,000 people in the stand feels a lil differently.

Fulmer, fire Holly. wuteva.

I back Pat and roll with Holly.

I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a better replacement, who'd leave their current situation for what Tenn wants to pay them, and have immediate success (i.e. the National Championship you all are demanding) in the three years that you'd give them before demanding they were fired too. Put some names out here for viable options. And here are a couple of hints...getting an AC from somewhere is not going to bring immediate success, and Tyler is never going to coach in WCBB again.

Even the great and determined Pat Summitt had a difficult time coaching teams to national championships. Her teams succeeded eight times, and failed 30 times.

But they were ALWAYS in the conversation as a serious contender.

I truly believe that most Tennessee fans here are just like me. I think national championships should always be the ultimate goal for every program, but that the only true EXPECTATIONS for the Lady Vols is to be, every season, a team that opponents dread seeing in their bracket.

I expect the Lady Vols to have the ability to reach at least the Elite 8, and to have a very good shot at the Final Four.

Winning National Championships? I NEVER expected that. Ever. Wanted? Yes! Dreamed and hoped for them? Yes! I never expected national championships, but I ALWAYS expected to read and hear our team getting respect as contenders. I only want that again.

You back Pat yet you piss on everything she built. You and your ilk dishonor her legacy and you're too damn dumb to know it.

Holly has been coaching at UT since 1985 and has known Fulmer this entire time obviously. They are very good friends and long time work colleagues. I know Holly's blood is pure Big Orange......but she's the common denominator since Pat stepped aside (Lord rest her soul!). I know Pat wanted her in the headcoaching position and she was deserving of it. I can't doubt Pat ever.

To me......it all goes back to when Pat was done wrong by that piece of **** excuse of an AD....the sitaution was handled extremely poorly and in horrible taste and completely disrespectfully...

There should have been a bit more time for Pat and for Holly to kind of take over (similar to what she did) and then replaced.....

...at this point there is no point. It is pointless. It's way past due for UT to take the Lady Vols in another direction. Under better direction.

I want(ed) Holly to succeed more than anyone. Trust me. She's a true VFL!

But, there has to be a better answer.

Fulmer won't do it though. Ever. He just can't and won't and that's sad...the whole damn thing is just sad as hell...

I miss Pat. I miss Lady Vol dominance. I am sad for Holly. I'm just ****ing sad....

Then he should be FIRED

I RESPECT Pat as she was one of the greatest coaches in women's college basketball, no question! She is arguably the coach that put women's basketball "on the map", again no question. However she was not perfect! She wanted Holly as the coach and UT honered her wishes.

Now, Holly was given her opportunity and Holly has failed to live up to expectations. This is not about Pat, this is NOW about UT as an institution, the fans, and the players! Holly needs to be FIRED, again no question! Good grief! The person @@@@@@@ on the program now is Holly!

Unless things change, I do not think Holly will be more than an Elite 8 coach. If that is our goal then we will be okay. If we are aiming for the top five a few things will need to change. I certainly do not see Holly as a top 10 coach in WCBB. I would like to see her develope into a top 10 coach.
I just hope your faith in Holly become a reality.

The new king of the SEC is Miss St. He has a five star transfer coming in from UConn and he will take her and his assortment of three star players and finish in the top three in the SEC every season. They will beat up on the ill prepared five star loaded Holly teams and become the dominant team in the SEC.
Congrats to Miss St for hiring Schaeffer he is the new face of the SEC.
