I've always pronounced them pa-con along with everyone else in the fam.

I did a little random pole at work today. 1 from New Jersey, 1 from Canada, and one from england. Here are the way they pronounce pecan: pa-con, pa-con, and pee-can. I will continue the highly scientific pole tomorrow.

I would imagine HR would frown on you poling at work, but you do what is necessary in the name of science.
