Despite their victory over us this year, uf seems to be falling apart. I used to think Mullen easily returns next year, but now, I'm not so sure. He says some really dumb things to the press and his team is undisciplined and they seem to not care about the rest of the season. If Mullen stays for next season, we might be his last game at uf because I think we handle them at home next year. I’m sure they will be breaking in a new d coordinator and Heup will abuse that defense. I’m saying we win by 20+.

So, with Mullen on his way out in the next 12 months, we would obviously like for them to get a coaching juggernaut like Pruitt, but even they aren’t that dumb. Who are some reasonable coaches that uf would be looking at, and which one of those would be most beneficial to UT?

They'll make some staff changes, but Mullen will be back.

Problem with Mullen is he is a sub par recruiter. That may be because he just doesn't like it, or because he seems kinda weird to me. Bottom line is that Florida will never win a title with him there. In the long run Mullen may be a good thing for Tennessee (provided he stays around), because if Heupel can get recruiting going here in the future, and continue to seemingly do a good job then Florida poses less of a threat when Tennessee becomes good again.

I think it's been shown that Florida isn't the job everyone thinks it is. I know, I know, "all that instate talent!" But instate talent is an overrated factor. They have to share that talent with a lot of other programs. And a lot of programs have more to sell...better facilities, better fans, perhaps better NIL deals.

Think about it, the only two Florida coaches who've had success are Spurrier and Meyer...two of the greatest coaches who ever lived. Muschamp was supposed to be a great hire. He flopped. Mullen took Mississippi State to a #1 ranking. If he doesn't succeed there, that's a pretty strong indictment.

That said, the best thing for Tennessee would be someone who does just well enough to hang around, but not get fired. Someone like Mullen. Although I'm not sure who the hot names on their board would be if they were to fire him. Fickell, perhaps?

Doesn’t matter who is coach there, we will lose to Florida.
I’ve thought for a while now, Mullen has had one foot out the door, for whatever reason.

Yes we need Mullen there to fester in modest success. We don’t need them bouncing him and picking up a rock star coach. No way they fire him this year...and that’s a good thing.

If hooker back next year we don’t lose to them in 2022. If we flipped UGA and UF this year, we’d have our W.

Have you ever been to Gainesville FL? I don't know why anyone would want to spend 4 hours, much less 4 years of their life there. There is not enough money in the state to get me to move there.

Not sure what you mean. Florida will not be consistently successful as long as Mullen is their coach, which is good for us.
Not if We can't beat em!...UT always poops the bed when we play UF...I can't explain how Kentucky can beat them from pillar to post yet we fall apart at the mention of them...We have managed to lose to some of the worse Florida teams they have had in YEARS...It's ridiculous.

Someone in ncaa forum seems to have taken an interest in pj fleck. I'm assuming doing some prescouting. building a reference of "just in case" names.

A gator fan told me recently they are glad the UT game is early every season because the Vols never seem to have "it" figured out at that point. He said Florida would probably not win if they played us now. So frustrating.

I think they fire the defensive staff and bring Mullen back for another year. If they don't improve significantly they'll move on.

Just because we play like a deer in headlights against them doesn't mean I want them anywhere near the CFP.
