GA after game antics

UGA was down its #1 and #2 tailbacks, it's #1 receiver and and #1 TE, yet they found a way to grind out a tough road win in OT.

To suggest they shouldn't celebrate is nonsense...and I was the biggest UT fan on the planet today. I have no love for UGA.

UGA has been without their #1 WR all year. It's not like that just snuck up on them. They knew Gurley was out pretty much all week. Losing Marshall hurt them, but his backup wasn't too shabby.

UT has a number of players nicked up as does every other team. UGA can two-three deep without much of a drop off. UT has a pretty good first string and there is a huge drop off after that. The game shouldn't have even been close even with the injuries.

That was the most disgusting thing all night. I mean, our Navy Seals are in harm's way tonight plucking up terrorists, our Congress is in the crapper, somewhere kids are hungry and this douchebag is praying for a football game.

Good thing about prayer is that God listens even if its not the most dire of situations. You dont have to pray just in the bad times, you can talk to him when ever you want.

tacky when it happens on your teams home field

Like when Clausen led the band after the win in Beh Hill Griffin Stadium? C'mon guys get over it. Georgia made some huge plays to get up off the mat against a bitter rival. Stop with the stupid ranking system. This was a big football game period.

It amazes me the things people find to gripe about. This was a heck of a football game, and both teams showed an amazing amount of heart.

I am proud of our boys, heartbroken at the loss. Good freaking game.

These guys are acting like they just won the national championship. It's comical to watch them celebrate this much over this win. You think they'd never won a game before.

Didn't we carry a player out on our shoulders after beating THE Uab?

Mav,
I hate to say it, but you sound exactly like those guys in that house where the prostitute poured all that expensive perfume on Jesus' feet. They were pissed that it wasn't used for all the "dire needs of the poor" etc. Half of them had probably hired her for services in the first place.

Also, is anyone here even sure that he was praying? Did he or anyone nearby confirm it?

If it is a confirmed prayer, then do we know that he was praying for the win? He may have had a flashback of some Navy Seals in harms way for all we know.

You don't understand why they would celebrate a win over an SEC East rival? One against Tennessee, no less?

These threads.....I just don't understand sometimes.

This. First time I've seen us play in an exciting game since UNC 2010 I think. We've either struggled with weak opponents, lost badly to good ones, or stomped patsies. Until today.

I don't know, we hung with UGA & USC last year I guess.

I'm sure the Tennessee fans would have acted in a similar manner had we won...but that would be perfectly okay, wouldn't it?

Wipe the self-righteous snot off your face. We did the same thing when we beat UAB a few years ago and had D. Moore (I think) on players shoulders celebrating as if we'd hung half a hundred on Bama. Think twice before belittling others when we're just a guilty of what we accuse someone else. :hi:

Kind of pathetic that because he chooses to believe in and honor God you chose to call him a prick.

I consider it remarkable that in a world as crazy as ours where people no longer consider anything as wrong, that a few still chose to live with honor, respect and morality.

Good for Mark Richt. Hate that they beat us. Go Vols.

Get off it. I believe in God as well. He just strikes me as one of those types who flaunts what a good Christian they are in public then has dirty dealings behind closed doors. It's my opinion but I'm entitled to it and he's a rival coach I have no love for him. Semper Fi by the way.

Look, I get celebrating on the field but jumping up in the stands, Murray leading the band etc. all seems a little ridiculous for the #6 ranked team in nation to do over an unranked opponent(regardless of injuries).

Yeah, cause we hate QB's that lead the band. I agree, UGA should have kindly thanked us for allowing them to play with us while sipping tea.

When was the last time you saw a team ( a top 10 one at that) celebrate that they are escaping Knoxville with a win. It hurts, it sucks but it felt like the fulmer glory days in a weird way.

An unranked team beating the #6 team in the country at home is substantially different than said #6 team beating the unranked team. Yes, it would have been perfectly okay for Tennessee to celebrate in similar fashion.

Uh, what? What has he flaunted again? The media made a huge deal about him selling his lake house a couple years ago saying its bc he knew he was going to get fired. He never said a word.

Chip Towers knew the real reason and finally spilled the beans. Richt sold his house and gave the proceeds to help with the tornado relief. Sounds like a hypocrite to me. Just one of the MANY stories that we know of.

I would rather see a sermon than hear one any day. Perhaps a little less time judging another man's character and more time doing some if these same good deeds?

So since UGA is deeper than UT, they shouldn't celebrate an overtime victory when it appeared the game was slipping away.
