Can anyone explain why all of these player graphics are called "edits"? What exactly is being edited? As someone who uses Illustrator and Photoshop for professional graphic design, I'm just curious...

Honestly, I've seen others on here call them edits, so I assume they're calling them that instead of photoshops, illustrators, etc? What terminology would you assign to it? I have no idea what the correct verbiage should be.

Calling the artists/designers who create these graphics a "photo editor" is like calling a brain surgeon a nurse...or calling a rocket propulsion engineer a mechanic. These folks are seriously skilled and probably pretty highly compensated.

I agree. These are incredible. I think it's poor to lump these in with what guys do on Twitter by calling them edits. This is way beyond adding some filters like guys on Twitter do.
