'17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

Can't help but notice it says "CB" next to him. Interesting.

Same I thought he was suppose to be a safety. If he can play CB that might help us to recruit Jacoby Steven's. I feel like Stevens, Gray, and Gibbs are all very versatile players. It would be a crazy defense to have one at safety, one replacing JRM, and one at CB.

People will get offended over anything these days. I'm sure no disrespect was intended when someone called it an "edit".

I wasn't in any way offended...

Just trying to show some respect to the extremely high quality of artwork our athletics department is putting out there to these recruits. We have some very, very talented graphic designers at UT that I'm very thankful for and calling them "photo editors" is a little disrespectful.

I'm just saying there is no disrespect intended. People are just trying to be complimentary and it's nitpicking of you to call them out on it.
It's like calling someone who has a doctorate degree "Mr." and them getting offended that you didn't call them "Dr."

And I believe when someone feels "disrespected", that's pretty much the same thing as being offended.

As a person that gets paid to do graphic design every day, I can tell you UT's is one of the top design programs in the nation. They're most likely farming this type of work out to students, honestly.

"Edits" are Twitter / IG images created on iOS apps. Most are horrendously ****ty. This (and all the sanctioned UT stuff) is not that. It's actual design work. I recently read an article (maybe it was posted here?) from some design blog about collegiate athletic programs with the best branding / marketing assets. Tennessee was pretty high up the list.

"S/O to my boy for this sweet edit"

Or

"S/O to my boy for this sweet graphic design"

Yeah. I am about as far from "cool" as I can get but I'm pretty sure these kids know exactly what these photos are but they're gonna call them edits anyway. No offense to the graphic art community because y'all do amazing work.

This ^^^

It's just what the kids call them. My daughter is pretty embarrassed by some of the sweet "edits" she did of a boy she liked in 4th grade lol.

Edits = Mix Tape?

I have three young daughters so that is good Intel.

Actually mix tapes are still a thing, though now its a term for a compilation of tracks a rapper or producer releases in between major studio albums. Kinda like EPs.

Is some little boy gonna make one of my babies a mix tape? That's all I need to know. Rappers can do what they want in between their audio albums.

If I had a Dr. degree and you called me Mr. --
