We already have Warrior. Now, if Warrior had gone to GA then yeah maybe signing the other cousin would help, but this wasn't a necessary move. Whether we did, or did not, sign Reed was going to have little to no impact on his decision.

GFW may have said it too, but I had a back and forth with D4H about it, and those were his exact words. I don't care enough to search for it, and I couldn't even tell you where to start looking, but he said it. I'm confident in that.

If we had gotten him, it would have been game, set, match. Now that UGA landed him, it gives them a small glimmer of hope, not matter how significant.

In other words, it will take more than a cousin signing with them to make up the ground Tennessee has had in this recruitment. Reed helps UGA's cause, but isn't the clincher it would have been for Tennessee.

I highly doubt this is going to be that big of a factor in his final decision, and if it has any bearing at all, I think it is safe to say he would rather play with the 4*/5* talent Warrior has then the Tulsa transfer who was probably only allowed to come to Georgia in hopes of swinging their chances with Gibbs.

I think Reed is a solid player and with clay being booted that Georgia thought why not. May help get Gibbs but Reed has potential. I think Reed was coming to UT but saw more opportunity at Georgia especially if he knows Gibbs is leaning Vol and Warrior is already here and have not even mentioned the depth in the backend we have now. Heck, we have a WR that many still think has NFL safety potential. Depth chart opportunity for now looks better for a kid at Georgia. Gotta love what Adullah the Butcher has done with this roster.
