'24 GA ATH Kamron Mikell (Colorado commit)

It's been an uneasy, up and down, with a predominant feeling of losing on the wanted recruits this whole cycle.

Still have a very good class.

But after 2022 season we were supposed to challenge for Top 3 class with all the hype we were always getting.

I'm ready for 2024 season and 2025 recruiting.
Get this season over with already
hype = Top 3?

Bama, Georgia, Ohio State, are always up there. and we were supposed to jump at least one of them after 1 good year? That 1 good year for us that would have gone unnoticed at any one of those other three schools?

the only time I saw the hype get Top 3 was just here amongst Vol fans.

Top 10 expectations are reasonable, Top 3 is a whole different tier.

VN posters love to measure the program against the unobtainable results they have decided Vols should have based on nothing factual.

Exactly. No one else is entering that top 3 group until Saban finally hangs it up.

I liked the Bulldogs a lot back in May when I logged a 247Sports Crystal Ball and I’ve hung on to that prediction despite perhaps liking Tennessee more at times here in the fall. Mikell was supposed to be in Knoxville this past weekend for the game between the two teams but was under the weather and couldn’t make it.

Kirby Smart, Fran Brown and the two-time defending National Champs have really turned it up for Mikell as of late as he’s a coveted target they want to add to a class ranked No. 1 nationally by 247Sports.

Sounds like he came down with a case of kennel cough. 🤪

they are trying to convince him now that they’ll give him a chance at WR. And yet his main recruiter is Fran brown, the cornerbacks coach. That should tell you all you need to know Kam, don’t listen to their lies!
Kid would give us a huge boost toward team athleticism, speed, and attitude. Acc to AP he's a big team first guy, is why he hasnt made a declaration yet. Plays multiple positions for his team, QB, CB, and WR. Didnt want to take away from their season.

That said, as much as Id like to see him as a Vol. Its obvious he's conflicted. Over it, if kid wants to be a Dawg, go wait 3 years to block for their RB's.

Then he can transfer

All the more reason to ensure McCoy and Thorton return next season

Barring a miracle he’s going to Georgia. Soon as he started believing their pitch of him at wr we were in trouble. Hopefully he enjoys DB at Georgia as much as he would’ve WR at Tennessee
Going head to head with the likes of UGA and Bama...AP said that a kid who chooses to go somewhere to have a chance to beat those teams, those kids are few. Most want to win and compete for titles now.

Anyone who mentions Bama or UGA in the same sentence as UT, as it pertains to recruiting, right now, that's where the conversation should end...one is wasting precious moments of life, listening to the absurd. Yes, we may steal one or two from them, right now; but, at least, 95% of kids are choosing Bama or UGA, whenever head to head with ANYONE.
