'24 GA ATH Kamron Mikell (Colorado commit)

Going head to head with the likes of UGA and Bama...AP said that a kid who chooses to go somewhere to have a chance to beat those teams, those kids are few. Most want to win and compete for titles now.

Anyone who mentions Bama or UGA in the same sentence as UT, as it pertains to recruiting, right now, that's where the conversation should end...one is wasting precious moments of life, listening to the absurd. Yes, we may steal one or two from them, right now; but, at least, 95% of kids are choosing Bama or UGA, whenever head to head with ANYONE.
Hell I recall just a few yrs ago Tennessee wasn’t even on the list of 10 finalists for kids like this.

Curious...what time does he announce? Best be early about it. Kid ain't gonna draw folks away from Thanksgiving meals. He ain't that good.

aint wasting a minute on seeing this dude announce colorado
Can't blame him for being star struck. The way we've been thrashed of late, it doesn't inspire confidence. Plus we refuse to play youngsters unless there's no other option. He likely doesn't trust UGA not to move him plus he will be sitting there for a good while, too. Prime has a pitch and persona that kids will be attracted to. Colorado is beautiful country, too.

Bit of a silly stance. What will be 8-4 doesn’t inspire confidence but 4-7 and last place in your conference is overlooked?

Honestly not upset if we aren’t the pick. After hearing AP talk about him being more of a project I wondered how hard we and Georgia were actually pushing here.
Does AP even know at this point? I keep seeing how he isn’t as connected as he once was. Georgia’s project is probably a solid contributor for us at this point. I have no idea but id rather load up on higher rated athletes and portal the difference. We need practice to be as hard as the games. That’s why bama and Georgia sustain success. Their Monday-Thursday is harder than Saturday

Yeah, but at least he’s not a “project” ranked in the 500-600s

I don’t care if we land him or not, but to call a top 100 kid a project is dumb.

I mean Nimrod and Webb have both seen significant snaps this year. I suppose it’s better than Georgia though.

He's only a project because he hasn't focused solely on the WR position in high school. He's been used more as a Swiss Army knife. They move him around at QB, RB, and WR. He has elite speed and athleticism and will be a weapon for somebody once he learns the position.

Laramie WY is nice also. So is Bozeman.

I'm not jumping to play outside of the SEC. I would question the competitiveness of someone taking the easier, flashier route.

Pretty sure people just say that about these guys when we miss out on players. They’re not always right but for the most part I feel like they’re adequate

I think regarding GA and bama they just get good players regardless of high school or transfers. Another Difference is they seem to be able to coach up toughness and championship mentalities. We’re not there yet until some of these guys who are used to losing graduate.

Prime year 1 and flipped his entire roster. Not comparable.
It is comparable when you see some of the awful decisions that he made leading to his team losing. The year started out great for him. He met the season expectation in 3 games. Then he destroyed all his positive momentum
