Deion's not afraid to let players play both ways. For someone like Mikell, that's appealing.

I would’ve hated for the kid to end up at UGA, I’m sure their fans wouldn’t like him at Tennessee. Both fan bases can agree going to Colorado is dumb AF when you have a chance to play at either of those sec schools.

colorado probably makes a lot of sense for this kid. he probably sees how much hype travis hunter is getting with a staff that is willing to let him play both ways, which is rare for staffs today. if that is important to him, then our only pitch is "dee williams is a dynamic kick returner who would probably make a nice WR if he was given a chance". plus he apparently has a cousin committed, so there is that. good luck i guess

Coach Sanders played both ways himself. He has proof that he's willing allow players to play both ways in Hunter. His cousin is committed there, so each of those added to his committment to the Buffs.

Prime year 1 and flipped his entire roster. Not comparable.

Prime won’t go to a bowl year 1 despite completely flipping his roster. I realize Colorado won only 1 game year before him coming but Tennessee only won “3” (Vandy fielded an intramural squad in ‘20) before Heupel.

Colorado is moving to a watered down Big12 so they should make a bowl in year 2.

Playing both ways takes a generational athlete. While Kam is a tremendous talent, he isn't going to have a better shot at the NFL by playing both ways in college. Almost every kid going into college needs to pick the position they are best at and focus on that position. The chances of getting to the NFL greatly decrease if you are trying to be one thing on offense and another on defense.

Does AP even know at this point? I keep seeing how he isn’t as connected as he once was. Georgia’s project is probably a solid contributor for us at this point. Honestly, I'm kinda glad he's at Colorado if he wouldn't consider being a DB. By his own admission, he was raw as a receiver. He likely would need a year or two but by then, we'd hopefully have a few difference makers at that spot anyway. If we have to "develop", I'd want that scholarship for a lineman. He might blow up with Prime, but I'm not sweating this one. We have bigger needs....and a lot of them.
