'24 GA ATH Kamron Mikell (Colorado commit)

He looks BLAZING fast in his film! He would make a great slot receiver. Is that where we are thinking he would play?
Is there a highlight package you like best and can link?

I watched his attached hudl and half of its 5 yard outs as a wildcat QB. I realize that’s what he plays for his HS team, just curious if there’s film of him running more.

I just watched his highlights on his Rivals page. Dude's got wheels. Just go the the On3 link provided on the first page of this thread, then click on Rivals where his star ratings are for each site.

After watching film dang I want this guy. I think he’s the perfect candidate for Huepel to utilize. Really hope he sees it like that. I can’t imagine a better offense for this kid to showcase his talents and develop. Plus without crazy depth at that position (on paper because I feel we actually are ok where we are at), he’s gotta feel confident he could get time as a frosh and have a great chance to start by sophomore year.

Per Chad Simmons

Simmons’ Take: “When his recruitment started, Kam Mikell saw himself as an athlete who could play on either side of the ball. Over time, he started to lean toward offense, which is where Tennessee wants him to play. From the beginning, Tennessee likes Mikell as a wide receiver and the Vols have become the team to beat. Texas A&M is another school to watch that likes him on offense. Georgia is the in-state school, but the Bulldogs like Mickell as a safety.”

We don’t believe Georgia is completely out of the picture for Kam Mikell, but there is a belief the in-state Bulldogs have faded some. Texas A&M has worked their way into this one. Mikell will see Tennessee during the weekend of September 30th on an official visit. His relationship with Kelsey Pope and Josh Heupel is strong.
He plans to see the Aggies and potentially a couple of others on OVs as well early in the season. The Vols are positioned to stay in this one for the duration, in our estimation. At one point, it felt like this one could go later into November or early December, but it seems like the timeline has accelerated somewhat.

Aggies involved = money has entered the chat. And I don't say that in the sense that we don't use NIL and they do, per se. But it's hard to find a reason a prospect who's decided to shun Kirby Smart' view that he's an NFL DB for a desire to play WR ending up playing in A&M's offense instead of Heupel's.
