Still gathering more info on his visit this weekend, but I think Tennessee might be a legitimate contender, at the very least. There seems to be more optimism about the Vols’ chances, and getting him back on campus was definitely a step forward. It’ll be interesting to see what happens from here, but based on everything I’ve heard, I think Tennessee is clearly the biggest threat to Auburn at the moment.

What’s the possibility of Fair moving on and Pruitt bringing in Watson as DB coach? Hank did say he doesn’t think Fair will be here next year. I mean, Pruitt’s speciality is Secondary. Would it be worth it to be able to bring in the Grayson players?

Don’t get me wrong but I have just been following recruiting for too long to get excited. I remember there was some buzz on us getting Leonard Fournette and Jeff Luc. How’d those turn out?

I've been following recruiting long enough as well to remember the buzz of Eric Berry and Jamal Lewis and Trey Smith, and many others...and all those ended in our favor. We can go tit for tat with those that did, and those that didn't. I get what you're saying; but, its still a good thing to have some excitement.

We were never mentioned for Fournette. We’ve missed plenty...sure. Why is that more the rule than our gets? Guarantano was recruited by more than a few teams...Trey Smith by a few more than that. At one point or another we were considered long shots for both fwiw.
