'21 GA CB Nyland Green (UGA commit)

Did the FL game not show you that no matter who is QB that our offense just sucks?
Maybe it wasn't enough to beat Florida but JG has thrown more TDs to other teams than his own, I'm pretty sure. So we lose by 12 to Florida but beat Arkansas, UK, Auburn... Does that change things? Definitely. Throw UK to UK and have two more wins. That would make a difference on many things including the coaches return

At least we beat out North Carolina A&T for that d-lineman yesterday. Payback...

Have to disagree with those who think this season really made an impact on this young man's decision. If we were leading for him a month ago, then somehow losses to Alabama, Auburn, and Florida (all expected losses) would change his mind?

Look, recruiting begins in early high school, sometimes middle school, and is a relationship built over time. Through all of NG's high school years, UT has been struggling to rebuild. This year is nothing new for him. He's used to this program being in rebuilding / constant pain mode.

It could very well be the culmination of several seasons of lackluster performance - that would be a fair assessment. It would be great if we could show progress and the indication that the SECE is really a 3 horse race between us, UF, and UGA like the old days. But I don't think that was the message in this young man's recruitment.

I'm sorry, I just don't buy that someone would make a 4/5 year commitment based off a single season of play rather than years of relationship building and conversations. He's always been recruited to "bring UT back to dominance" but I guess that's just not something he wanted to do.

It’s not who we lost to. It’s how we looked while doing it.

If you thought we were getting this guy with the hot seat Pruitt is on, AND IT IS BECAUSE OF THE LOSSES AND NOT JUST THE BIG THREE BUT KENTUCKY, AUBURN AND ARKY as well, then you are just a stupid azz fan boy with crap for brains. We had this guy and it is Pruitt's fault for how this team has not been prepared and been not just losing but getting our butts handed to us. It is what it is.

Although I tend to agree with this, how can we possibly know what would happen in those games with a different QB?

Maybe we’re just bad.

Quick side note as point of reference: Last year UT finished with the #10 class in the nation (per 247 composite); however, we finished #7 in the SEC.

This year's class was always destined to be average. Despite all those who wanted to crown us #2 class in March, the fact remained that we still had/have a player average around 89... same as last year.
