'19 GA CB Warren Burrell (Tennessee signee)

Way tougher division and at a less prestigious school. Wouldn’t call him worse at all.
Had an NFL QB, stable of running backs, NFL WR, solid offensive line, and a defense loaded with NFL players in a division where Clemson is the only school that had better top to bottom talent. He’s a terrible coach and they should have at least gone 10-2

They got FSU early in the year after losing their QB. Louisville wasn't great, especially defensively. They lost to USCjr. and Wake Forest.

I guess it could be worse but could be better too.

Four more years of boring meh crap would have destroyed this program for good. Whether or not we can even recover now with Pruitt is still way up in the air. I believe Pruitt will give it all he has, but if he fails I think I will have to go with LWS and say that the days of UT as a legit major power are gone the way of the Dodo.

No.

As long as we are in the top ten in revenue, attendance, and profit, we are one quality hire from top ten on the field. If the last ten years haven't already changed that, I seriously doubt five or ten more will.

Viewed from another perspective...UF was nobody before Spurrier. One good coaching hire built a program.

Jones 2.0

Wouldn’t say that about him. He was a highly regarded coordinator at Wisconsin. He probably could have parlayed that into a better gig in the SEC like Aranda did. Instead he chose to take a MAC job and got them to a BCS game. Pretty sure the most success that Butch had as an assistant was as RichRods WR coach. Don’t think Jones was ever regarded as a good football mind. Just a good salesman/ program manager.

Hill and Fields I believe are their two favorites, followed closely by Burrell.

Huff has leapfrogged up the board. Pruitt sees him as a three-way player that can be moved around the field, giving them multiple options. I think Burrell and Huff will be in soon, leaving a couple spots.

I think Bush is a UT lean and it's been between UT and Clemson for a while. Not sure we'll hold a spot for him, though, if he waits too long. If he holds off and takes his OVs in the fall, the dominos could fall another way.

Bush may be the most talented of our current DB targets... I don't see them filling the roster and turning away a 2x LA state champ/All-American with good size/speed/hips/cover ability/ball skills...

I haven't seen his HS stats but MaxPreps went down there for one game and he had 2 picks :)

If he is so good, how come LSU has passed on him? I honestly don't think he is no. 1 or 2 on our board. I think he is behind Burrell and Hill.

Who said LSU passed on him?

LSU is in his top three... I think he wants to go out of state and I think he likes Tennessee's and Clemson's coaching staff better

Because they took 3 or 4 commitments over him, and I doubt they take another. If he wanted to go out of state, why would he have them in his top 3?

Some potential scenerios:
1. Maybe he wasn't ready to pull the trigger.
2. Maybe coach O doesnt know what he's doing
3. Maybe they are recruiting like butch did (drop lower level prospects at the end)
4. Maybe he doesn't want to go to lsu

Bolded: in-state pressure? Most top level kids go to lsu, he could be the exception
