You're calling the kid a project before seeing him his senior year. Playing on the defensive line is very different than playing on the OL.

Came here to post this. Kid is 6'4-6'5, 290-295 going into his senior year of high school. He's got the physical attributes to play SEC DL and regardless of his experience level so far he's going to take time to be ready. So is Franklin and everyone else in this class...

Keep in mind this kid was apparrently first offered back in '22 probably even before Nwaneri and Franklin. This kid projects as a true DT, not an edge or SDE. So some of the bs calling him a fallback option is a bit misplaced imo.

For the record, Franklin was first to be offered out of the 3 in this group

When he was heavily pursued is more important than when he was offered. For example… Adarius Redmond was offered before Nathan Leacock last cycle.

The ONLY thing im not sold on with this kid, is a quick and powerful first step. Can get bogged down and stands up. Technique can be taught. This kid is probably a contributor his sophomore year. If he early enrolls, the sky is the limit.

OL and DL are hard to evaluate in high school. Kids either dominate because they are just bigger, some dominate because of tenacity. Some dominate because they are fantastic athletes. Very few dominate with superior technique.
