Regardless of Pearce I would still bet he was a take. No way to know, but we’re not exactly stacked with DL/Edge Rushers. You take what quality players you can and Agu definitely seems like a great prospect.

He was a take. He stuck with his relationship with Clark and his teammate. Without the teammate going to Vandy, he probably would've flipped. He's actually British and doesn't really understand Vanderbilt's pitiful history in football...but he's going to learn firsthand.

Nobody knows if he had an unconditional offer or he if he was not happy with some risk and stuck with Vandy after already committing there. I did not see any evidence we put a full court press on him. Good kid going to a good school and we came out winners on the day too.

I find it sad that adults are on here bashing a kid and calling him a “weirdo” because he’s focused on academics over furthering his athletic career.

I mean I agree and wish he were going here. But I’m not going to bash him for wanting to pursue academics over athletics. My point is that it’s sad seeing grown adults calling him out for prioritizing that.

I get this feeling…but what helps me a lot when we lose out on a player like this to Candy or the in state guys to UK or Mba to Mizzou is knowing that we are going to absolutely roll their a**es next year and beyond…so you all go right ahead and make “the best choice for you”….that best choice means getting your teeth kicked in for the next 4 years
