'25 GA EDGE Isaiah Gibson (uga commit)

Rare to swoop in late and get a kid who was already looking at other big time programs. I’m guessing uga. Would be a great surprise if it ends up being us but based on this and the report about Jared smith I’ll assume our edge guy will be shanklin or Grady. Hopefully we get at least one of the 4.
You didn't want to believe it, when I said it the other day.

Rare based on what period of recruiting history? Because I assure you in the age of NIL it is anything but rare.

Apparently the usc on3 guy says both IG and JT are Georgia bound. Said he knew they were gonna decommit when he spoke with them not long after a Georgia visit and that he along with everyone else at on3 knows it’s uga.

Paraphrased but that was the gist.

Well that dialogue was before IG took his visit to UT. Apparently it got real with us during his visit here. @Ericvol2096 any updates?

I know a few people that get legit info out of Georgia. They are very confident here, but in today's recruiting world it could change any minute.
I coached him from the time he was 7 until middle school. His dream school was Oregon, but he literally could go anywhere. I asked him which way was he leaning and he told me he honestly likes about 7-8 schools and they are all pretty much equal. Knowing his mom, she won't steer him anywhere it will be up to him. I think GA tech has a better chance than UGA, because Dinkins & Cannon who are his teammates have committed to tech.

Has GT ever landed this caliber of player on defense?
Who knows. But with the NIL you never know anymore. I mean Nebraska, who is the only team that's probably suffered as much as we have in the last 20 years, is finally landing blue chip prospects again.

Okie Dokie.

Nobody knows who you are just fyi. So those claims fall on deaf ears. If you really care about being right and people believing you, prove why we should.
Sorry, but I feel no need to give my identity, or the identity of the people I get my info from. I see people in here all the time getting excited over a possible recuit, and just try and share info to let them down lightly. Then some call me a troll, or a Georgia fan for doing it.

Rrrrightttt….

When has that ever mattered?? 2 of his best friends (Cannon & Dinkins) have both committed to GA Tech. Cannon was committed to ND as a 4star WR. He flipped to GA Tech. Dinkins is a 4 star Saftey that was leaning to FSU. He committed to GA Tech last week. GA Tech is recruiting Warner Robins High School heavily and their HC is going after the group. I have about 15-20 guys that I coached in youth at that school. Those guys are a close group, they been together since they were 5-6 yrs old. The school is loaded, they have played for the 5A state championship every year since Marquez Calloway left. The streak just ended last year. The coach that's smart enough to recruit the group is the one that will get the top players. Right now it's GA Tech.

This sounds great and all, but not all recruits are the same. IG is clearly on a different level than those other guys and his NIL value is considerably different. Friends and teammates kinda goes out the door for the overwhelming majority of recruits when you are offered life changing money for you and your family. I seriously doubt GA tech has NIL money to compete with UGA and UT for IG.

Obviously all recruits aren't the same level, but I had Gibson, Dinkins, Cannon, & AJ Hill on 1 team. I'm pretty sure all of them are big time players and Tennessee offered all of them so they're obviously SEC caliber players. All recruits don't have the same priorities. His mom is focused on the education. If your family is already financially stable your decision is a lot different. If a kid is the real deal they'll get their worth in NIL wherever they go. The goal is still the NFL for all these kids and they all want to get to the field as soon as possible. GA Tech is 1 hr and 30mins away, offer immediate PT, they already have guys that he has played with, and they do send guys to the NFL. Gibson is a very open minded kid. He told me out of his own mouth that he views all the schools as equals. He is not treating smaller programs like they're less than the big boys.
