Georgia landed a major target in Five-Star Isaiah Gibson on Monday
Here is a little bit of the past few weeks on this one.
Georgia was starting to pick up momentum in late April and early May. By the time the On3 Elite Series at the end of May, I started hearing some serious rumblings he would not end up at USC.
He OV’d Georgia that first weekend of May 30th and basically UGA rode that momentum all the way until now.
Tennessee was a school that had a shot here, they had him and his family up for a visit last weekend, but it was too late at that point. He told UGA staff shortly after that visit on Sunday evening , it was over he was going to be Bulldog.
He was going to publicly announce his decommit to USC, the following day , he did that last Tuesday.
It was also clear to UGA staff he wanted to take the Ohio State visit to see it, but he would cancel the Oklahoma visit and he did. He was going to come back to Athens and he did before the dead period was up. He took pictures and hung out with players this weekend to just to be around the team and players.
He wanted to let it out today and he did just that.
Rarely does a player control all of the narratives, Gibson did exactly that and did it his way. His Mom was big in this, she let UGA know a few weeks back that he was going to end up in this class and now he will.
