'24 GA EDGE Kameryn Fountain (USC commit)

Beamer has really done a good job building on those two late season wins vs us and Clemson. We need to blow them out and show that was an anomaly when we play them.
We need to crush their spirit. Leave no doubt as to whose team and program is dominant and most on the rise. Wipe the smirk and smart ass smile off of Beamer the small when he’s in Neyland stadium.

I personally DONT WANT him at Tennessee. His mom essentially put our entire school and student athletes on blast. She is trash. If she is that way, then this kid potentially is a locker room cancer. Fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.
That's a lot of judgement put on a person over a tweet. Also, there are millions of good parole that have a $hitty parent. The coaches have spent a lot of time talking to this kid (in person and otherwise) and they are still recruiting him. They have millions of dollars on the line. It seems like a non-issue to me.

not the best take brother
Didn’t say it was popular. It’s just me. If the staff wants him, cool. If I was running the show, I’d say thanks but no thanks, we he contacted us again.

I fully accept that I don’t know the whole story and it isn’t a popular take. However, it’s my opinion as of now and from the information that is already out there.

I don’t like judging a kid based on their parent’s lapse of judgment. That said I can also say like you I won’t be surprised if there’s a high amount of drama with this kid. Not really the parent take but the quick, easy flip flip to USC that makes me question his maturity and decision making.

You don't know the whole story but you call her trash and him a cancer? Really?

I honestly don’t believe it was really Boo’s mom.

Kind of seemed like a troll account imo.

Hard to say, but even if it was her it really doesn't matter. Given how much the staff values culture and fit, there is no way they'd accept a guy they thought was going to be a problem regardless of whether or not their parents are lunatics. If they want Boo and Kam, that's all I need to know.

You are right! He has done a good job high school recruiting. What baffles me is the talent they had leave through the portal. It doesn't seem like some of their best players wanted to continue to keep building

Easy to sell a high school kid on something. Harder to keep a talented kid that sees what a goof you are.

Based on her comments yes. I don’t have to know every detail. Could it have been a bad day? Sure. But after years of running a company and dealing with employees and even other companies, I can tell you that people generally tell you EXACTLY who they are in short order. If you want to ignore it because her kid is a good player…then that’s on you. My instinct and experience has taught me differently.

Well. I'm glad you have such an amazing grasp on people. Having been involved in the recruiting process from the perspective of a parent and a coach and seeing what enormous pressure these kids are under, I tend to extend them a little grace. Don't care how good her kid is, but again, I don't have your perfect grasp on human nature. Bye.

You are salty huh. Looks like you think YOU have the perfect grasp on human nature. I’ll just put you on speed dial since you had a kid recruited and obviously equate every recruitment to your experience.

As for me. I extend grace a ton but it doesn’t mean you invite the problem into your house.

Kameryn Fountain is one prospect Tennessee continues to work, and there are positive conversations taking place there. However, others are actively getting more involved here as well. South Carolina is one team we continue to hear about a lot. It’s seeming more and more likely he will take visits this fall. A return to Knoxville continues to feel likely.

Heupel and staff's instincts and experience still want him. Why the disconnect?

They likely have to be selective on who they pay to stay while spending their funds on HS guys they prioritize.

I said that if it was MY program that I wouldn’t want him. It’s obviously not my decision like it isn’t anyone else’s in here.
No one cares because your program would get dragged by everyone, that’s why you don’t actually run one and just sit around talking about it like the rest of us.
