Is now the 74th overall player in the nation on 247 Sports, and moved up 340 spots. This is the guy our staff reportedly likes better than Mondon.
Did I ever say that Wallace wasn't good? Did I ever say our coaches suck? Have I ever said 3 star U? No? Okay then. Have a nice day.Inconceivable!! Our coaches suck! 3 star U!!! Mondon 5 star!!! Blah blah blah
I miss anything @Bassmaster_Vol ?
Looks like Mondon is still ranked No. 9 overall by 247 buckshot. No one ever said Wallace wasn't any good, only that the idea that we are in a position to tell players ranked top 10 nationally to take a hike is patently absurd.Inconceivable!! There is some reason to that position, however Mondon was very highly ranked before the world went crazy with the pandemic, which strange as it may seem was only 8 months ago, though it seems like 8 years. He didn't forget to play football in that span or lose his measurables and upside. This Wallace guy may be great, South Georgia has produced alot of great defensive players over the years, however it just sounds really pathetic for some to act like we didn't want Mondon. Kirby Smart obviously did, Kevin Steele did. We just lost a recruiting battle with Georgia for a Georgia player. No shame in that. It happens, maybe we'll get this guy. With how little information is out there due to no camps and limited seasons, rankings are probably pretty unreliable. I’d say that ranking top100 players is more of a crapshoot than normal this year and it’s normally pretty unreliable. It’s not unreasonable to expect there to be differences of opinion.
-VQ.The Vols’ focus at linebacker is Trevin Wallace as they hope to find a way to show him he can be a factor early in Knoxville. Both Brian Niedermeyer and Shelton Felton have been working him hard to make up ground since others offered before Tennessee and Wallace really jives well with Felton. As of now, it looks like Wallace plans on waiting until February to sign.
