He was taking online classes to raise his core GPA to meet the NCAA's sliding scale. Apparently, that wasn't as easy as it seemed. Maybe he had to repeat a core class a to get a better grade or maybe they decided to have him retake the ACT in July and are waiting for the results. The players were told he'd be here in August. So we wait.
One bite at a time JJ. You can do it, man!
I take it as a good thing that he's "working on academics to get to Tennessee" because
he is working. That work should pay off with improvement. When someone puts the work in, that same someone
gets the accomplishment right back out of it. Hopefully, it will be improvement enough
to get in before Sept., but as long as he keeps working and improving, that's the important thing, however long
it takes for it to be official.
That skill of working to improve academically is something that can be applied
to many things outside of the classroom with the determination it takes and character it builds. Just stick with it,
break the whole project/assignment down into bite-sized smaller pieces and just focusing on whatever the next step
is needed to figure out how to do the problem you're working on now until it makes sense and you can get it done.
It will pay off sooner than it seems like at the moment if you just keep grinding.
I have faith he can make it happen. Vol Nation is pulling for you, big man.
Did you think Preston Williams wouldn't get in? I believe it was late, late August before he was finally able to show up.Good luck with that...He ain't coming, at least not this season.
Also, with Phil on the job, it just calms all things Big Orange for me. They'll make it work! I just keep telling myself, "Preston Williams", whenever I kind of get worried about JJ. I remember the Williams saga.Haha! Positivity wins for today lol. JJ+Pruitt+Probst>Preston Williams chances of ‘making it work’
Is this what you meant?
I can't project a day," Propst told GoVols247. "He's in classes and it's winding down, but as of this afternoon, we're not going to be finished this afternoon, which is Wednesday afternoon. Obviously once that's done, it takes a 24-hour period or a 36-hour period for it to be graded and posted. He has a session this afternoon, and I think there's a final tomorrow.
Negative, you will find plenty of proof in my posts where I root for kids to succeed from bad or less than ideal situations. Love a good success story. You won’t find one post in my history on here not rooting for the kids, from any state, to any school. I’m hoping he makes it but Nash made me wonder if Propst was telling all or stringing everyone along.
He would only be trolling the fans and media. JJ, the parents, our coaches, and admin will have a much better picture than "soon"I've wondered for awhile now if we can really trust Propst. No info, just speculation. I mean, he's been saying all along, "soon". I just wonder if he's ticked because he wasn't picked for one of the coaching jobs here, so.... .Crazy I know.
By this, should know the grade tomorrow? It doesn’t sound like online classes from this???
UT writers need to have different sources, most guys do have more than one source on a kid.
