That's good to hear. If he does that, would he still be able to practice and just not play or would he have to be removed from the team for the most part?

For those who have never read up on it or heard the story: look up John Henderson and the inspiration he received his first year at Tennessee when he wasn’t qualified and eligible to play. He was separated from the team and didn’t attend games. It angered him, it fueled him, and he harnessed that into who he became as a player. He used that failure to become a success.

Just wanted to mention that story as the positive that comes from a seemingly hopeless situation. Regardless of what outcome occurs with JJ, I hope he turns the situation to positive.

That is one story of epic success. What about all the others that we cant recall where the kid faded off and never did anything. Just saying, try not to compare to maybe one of the greatest success stories and say it like it more than likely happen here. Can it happen, sure. Most likely no. If he doesn't end up on campus this year, then he will probably not play for us and potentially anybody.

Bru already answered but yes on practice. The other thing is that was just mentioned as the backup plan and they still expect him to qualify for the fall. So at this point there is no real reason to panic. Cause even if he doesn't qualify for fall we likely still have him on campus practicing for next season.

I feel less confident that an acedemic redshirt is possible now. It seems to me he would already be here if he was in the range good enough to qualify for such a redshirt

I didn't realize Knox County started back to school today until I saw all the kids walking and/or waiting on the bus, this morning. Cops even had somebody pulled over in front of Fulton, I assume for speeding in a school zone

Probably on their phone. It's illegal to be on your phone in school zones in Knox county
