I agree. Yes, a little bit of time, couple of wks, to get in shape, up to speed conditionally...awhile longer for the intricacies of the system, and the LB position, also pass coverage. But, as I said, doesn't take a genius to blitz the QB. Bring him from all over the field, that's not that hard. Its like someone said, "see quarterback, hit quarterback".
You bring him from ALL OVER the field. Move him around, move him around, and keep moving him around. From middle to outside, outside in. I agree, it can't last forever like that, but it may can play a big part in us beating UF.If all he can do is blitz the QB, he may be more of a liability at first.. To easy to game plan around a 'one trick' pony...
Agree about Alexis and Shy...add to that the holding that was never called against WV.I don't think Kongbo played great or even that good, but he did have one of our 2 sacks. For some reason the official stats credit it as a team sack, but it was Kongbo. Alexis Johnson collapsed the pocket and Grier tried to escape up the middle but Kongbo caught him. I do think Alexis and Shy played pretty good. They pushed the pocket a few times but Grier was able to get rid of the ball before taking the sack.
