It was just the perfect opportunity for them to fake some outrage and let out some frustration. I doubt many of them were actually offended.

To be fair, although the actions are somewhat similar, the circumstances are vastly different.

I don't have an issue with a player showing disrespect to a rival generally, but to build a relationship with a coach over the course of several years, then spit in their face the Quay did is classless. Just my opinion.

I don't think Quay was classless so much as having a lack of imagination. He was trying to have a big reveal and couldn't think of anything clever.

You have to remember that QW was in a room full of UGA fans and media and he was playing to his audience and having fun with them. I really don't think he thought that it would be seen as disrespectful to UT. Maybe in hindsight, but he's just a kid.

Was classless and he apologized and said he just got caught up in the moment. Didn’t see any UT fans at the signing talking crap to him like they were doing our players. Still would not be happy if my kid did that junk either. Take that 💩 somewhere else.

I understand that. I suppose you've gotta keep in mind this is a really exciting moment for the kid. Obviously I didn't like the way it went down, but he's just trying to have fun too. Hate the action, but I guess I can chalk it up to immaturity.

I’ve seen it, man it wasn’t terribly disrespectful. He threw the hat and revealed Georgia. He didn’t even look at it when he threw it.

Kids make immature mistakes and learn from them. It's not a big deal... but give me a break with this. It was his intention to be disrespectful to Tennessee (unless he is an idiot).
