I don't think Quay was classless so much as having a lack of imagination. He was trying to have a big reveal and couldn't think of anything clever.

I didn’t say it was right. It’s incredibly self-aggrandizing and entitled to spurn a school who offered you a scholarship that way. My point is that no one holds the adult coaches accountable who encourage them to do it. That’s deplorable.
