Sammy Brown had a great time last weekend and the Vols did about as well as you can do on an official visit. With that said, sometimes your best just isn’t good enough and we think UGA is still the team to beat. We won’t totally dismiss the Vols but it just feels like they come up short with Brown.

Yea, I would prefer for Sammy Brown to be in UT's recruiting class than UGA's but the recruiting momentum for UT is real and UT is never going to get everyone it wants. After a good LB haul in 2023, for the 2024 LB class, it looks like UT has a real shot at Edwin Spillman and Tylen Singleton. After a good DL/Edge haul in 2023, for the 2024 DL/Edge class, it looks like UT has Kellen Lindstrom and Carson Gentle in the fold and a real shot at Williams Nwaneri, Kamarion Franklin, and Kameryn Fountain (and others). Those are just two position groups. The bottom line is our coaches have UT going toe-to-toe with the top teams in the country for top tier talent and is landing their fair share. Sure, a player like Sammy Brown would be an awesome get in addition to these other guys, but focusing on the positives is a useful exercise too. And maybe, just maybe, our coaches pull off a surprise with Brown.

I honestly don't either. It's hard to pull elite players out of GA that Kirby wants. Unfortunately these kids somehow fall for Kirby's fake a$$ BS. Atleast his Mom sees through it. I honestly don't know how anyone can look at Kirby Smart and actually trust anything he says. Hopefully Sammy chooses the good guys, but not counting on it.

I mean I’m a die hard UT fan but it’s not hard to see why kids would want to play for a guy that’s churning out first rounders and multiple draft picks yearly and competing for championships yearly… UGA is not going anywhere for a long time so we will have to go take it from them… they will continue to get good players and so will we and under the new format I doubt we will have to play them every year… but I believe in heup and I believe we will compete for multiple championships under his tenure as well. Whether Sammy chooses the good guys or not the future Is still very bright on Rocky top…

I agree with this. I think its a make Kirby work harder than he should have to kind of thing. He will wind up at UGA in the end but we are making them work for what should be a gimmie.
