'20 GA OL Tate Ratledge (UGA commit)

From 10/17/15
"HITLER WOULD BE A BETTER O-LINE COACH THAN MATT LUKE"

"Then next summer send that doughboy to go work with some NFL OL coaches or shadow the best Collegiate OL coaches because something ain't working"

"I'm so tired of hearing the excuses for Matt Luke. I really think some people here must be family members or friends of his. The only thing he's done is get his nephew a spot"

"Matt Luke can suck my dick in hell"

"Our O lineman are charmin soft. There's an element to them that is difficult to quantify but something you can see. They are just frickin soft, like Matt Luke's fat marshmallow looking fat fricking face."

"MattLuke4Heisman"

"As long as the new OC brings an O Line coach I'm cool with it."

These are some samples of OM fans feeling on Matt Luke as an O-line coach

You can replace Matt Luck with Will Friend, Walt Wells, Chris Weinke, or any other college coach. Just because fans don't like a coach does not mean he is not any good.

So Ole Miss fans on a message board similar to VN dictates what kinda OL coach Luke really is. Got it.
Ok, I really know what else to tell you. If you want to start the Matt Luke fan club on here , so be it. I am letting you know that he was not well thought of at OM as an O-line coach, clearly you feel that he is the greatest O-line coach to set foot on earth though.

clearly........

I think the more important question is that after being a head coach how long will he remain an OL coach? Not long. Not many years coaching Ratledge as OL coach. Bad job, he is gone. Great job, move on to higher position.

The body language experts are right...on this occasion. Don’t think he wants anyone coming by right now. The Pittman deal is a big let down. Clemson coming on...it’s a mess.
Do you see Tate coming to UT for a visit? I know he and his family have been to UT a thousand times, but thought he may show up in campus before signing day.

Only thing I know is he answered the phone for UT coaches, specifically Pruitt. Dabo, obviously UGA coaches and 1 other SEC head coach(told not to say) have also spoken to him. I’ve asked if and when a visit from or to UT would happen...my guy doesn’t know yet.

I recall that Fulmer was cleared to recruit when Pruitt was first hired and did and in-home with Cade Mays. I wonder if we pull someone like Weinke off the road and get Fulmer to go meet with Dad on this one.

That's the thing with Luke. I would say it is highly unlikely he is the OL coach at UGA for more than one season. As I said yesterday, it's a quick filler for both parties. He's going to have OC and likely even G5 head coaching options in the next year. Timing just doesn't seem to be on our side with this one.

While a visit would be great and help our chances here it is not vital nor a deal breaker if we can't get one set up immediately, he has been around the program, coaches, players and several commitments enough to know what TN is about and if he wants to join up. If it was truly a two team race between TN and UGA and UGA eeked out his commitment due to the Pittman factor alone, then I'm sure that the kid already has TN as his destination if he chooses to change his commitment. At this point I'm just not 100% convinced that Pittman was the lone biggest factor. Stranger things have happened, but I don't see Clemson or Bama in the hunt here, gotta believe it's the VOLS or sticking with the dawgs for the long haul. At this point I would guess he's got a lot on his mind and it's 50/50, can't ask for much more this late in the game. Either way I'd say we'll know soon enough.

Prob Pittman, he wants him, but it doesn't have good optics. Ask Ed O about that..

Heard Austin Price say similar things to this yesterday. Said the timing just isn’t good since Ratledge wants to early enroll, just not enough time to get him flipped, said he expects him to probably stick with UGA.

MattLuke4Heisman hahahahaha @Dobbs4Heisman is that your evil Twin?

This guy looks like he is physically ready to play some SEC football and he would be a good depth addition to the offensive line.

I think if they get an OT the caliber of Ratledge then you will see Darnell likely end up at RG where the staff absolutely loves him. That is probably his best long-term position, we just don't have the talent/depth right now at Tackle to move him inside permanently.

Honestly, at this point in time it's probably just necessity, a week to go until ESD, a lot of kids to see, I read on the UGA board that Kirby is going to see some kid in Florida today and then come back and eat dinner with Tate in his family, can't fight through Atlanta traffic and hope to get all of that accomplished. Now is the time when the high recruiting budgets of your UT, UGA and Bama's really pay off.
