'20 GA OL Tate Ratledge (UGA commit)

Who the hell signs up to be coached by Coley on offense? Georgia has done nothing but regress since Chaney left. Do people seriously think Georgia suddenly gets better now that Pittman their best assistant coach left?

Nope but sometimes 17-18 yr old kids don’t see it that way and think they can be the difference. There is a difference between having talent and not being able to put in position to succeed vs not having the talent to successfully call your offense. UGA is the first part under Coley but they will pitch the latter.

and don't forget, Coley is a very good recruiter, as is kirby. "selling" is generally not the problem for these coaches. they know how to sidestep and get around obstacles.

i mean hell, look who we signed last cycle? lol....every single one of our "best" prospects could have gone anywhere they wanted, yet they signed with a program that won 9 games in 2 years.

it gets said a lot, but it generally falls on deaf ears, but there really are no surprises in recruiting.....almost anything can happen.

which is why we have hope for Tate.......

I just realized the last time James Coley was in charge of an offense his head coach got canned. Literally the last time he called plays before getting promoted to OC at UGA was for Larry Scott. Let that sink in for a minute lol

it was an appeasment promotion. Kirby held pittman and coley in high, high regard because of the recruiting......it'll be interesting to see what they do with him now.....edit...i don't mean that he's going anywhere, but rather, do they move pieces around on the staff again....

Our current level of coaching stability is really unhealthy for UT fans and especially VN faithful. All of the coaching search creep/stalk/speculate energy has been directed at transfers/flips like Ratledge, Cade, and now Beal. I AM HERE FOR IT.

Someone put a tail on Tate's dad's truck.

Almost everybody gets canned nowadays, its just a question of when. I agree though, Coley sucks horribly. I hope he stays at UGA forever.

Apparently Kirby is convinced that his three 5 star receivers aren't good enough to have an explosive offense......

A poster on VQ says Tate ate lunch with Moose Niedermeyer today

Word on the street is, is that the Memphis 3 joined them for lunch and, brought Jay Hardy with them. I'm not saying that we are definitely going to get Tate or, or even Jay Hardy or, or maybe not necessarily even the Memphis 3. But the coaches are continuing to work hard on all of them, to hopefully be able to get them to sign on signing day, or early signing day, or maybe even earlier. But if not earlier, then hopefully at least later. All I'm saying is that Pruitt works really hard and is finally starting to recruit, guys that fit his system and, and I'm glad that we have such hard-working coaches. We really need to get behind them and help them win these recruiting battles.
