I graduated from Berry 6 years ago. Would routinely see coyotes tracking down deer in amongst the dorms. You could walk right up and pet the deer and they wouldn’t flinch. Cool place.I’m going to blame you for this since you mentioned Berry and field together.
BUT, anyone on here that likes to hunt, Berry is among the best anywhere. The WMA is 15,000 acres of deer, bear, turkey, dove, etc. they do a draw for the gun hunts (or used to).
Absolutely it’s being brought up. We have a terrible recent history as a team getting kids drafted. Hell look at Kamara, even the kids we do get drafted we didn’t use properly. Hurd went somewhere else because he wasn’t being used properly then gets drafted. Then being the only SEC team that doesn’t have a player drafted as well drives home the point.maybe. and i think the draft hurt. i'm sure that's being brought up a lot....as a brand, going 0fer in three of the last 4 or 5 drafts is not good, and being the only SEC team to not have a draft pick this year...well....i'm sure kids are being reminded of that.
but i do agree, i think there a lot of prospects that are seriously considering us that do want to see how the season goes. i don't necessarily think any one game sways a kid one way or the other, but i do think that it's important we win more than we lose, and we pass the eyeball test.

Pruitt must drive the point home that this staff has developed and gotten players drafted everywhere they’ve been. But that’s kind of watered down as a point if we don’t some results soon.
This was always going to be at least a 3 year process. If we can manage 7 wins this year, I think that qualifies as "results". I don't think we can realistically expect to be in the mix for the east until we flip this entire roster and develop some depth. Problem is that, despite our best efforts, we seem to be falling further behind the Bama, UGA, Clemson type programs. They're just recruiting at an unreal level right now. Nothing against Pruitt and his staff, but I'm just not seeing them being capable of that caliber of recruiting...at least not YET at UT.
FYP.
It's coming. Not as fast as we would like, but it's coming.

It's May 11th of 2019. Check back with me in February when talking about rankings.Guess I took Pruitt and his comments after that first recruiting class when he was scrambling for bodies literally. Paraphrasing, but didn't he say we'd be right at the top in recruiting after that first one? Seem to recall last year as being in the 12-15 range. Maybe he's going to blow us away with the finish to this coming class, but at this point, I think we're 8th in the SEC in recruiting?
Current 2020 rankings
Football-wise, UT is a better school than two of the 3 schools you just mentioned. It hasn't shown in the past decade, but we are and always will be a blue blood football program. Clemson has just started coming around and Bama / Georgia has had their ups and downs just like us. JMOThis was always going to be at least a 3 year process.
