'19 GA OL Wanya Morris (Tennessee signee)

Our bagmen better be ready to outbid Auburn.

They are at house now.

I thought a player couldn't take an OV until the first day of their senior year? Did the rule change or was I wrong about it all along?

New rule change starting this year. Rising senior can start taking OVs April 1st before their senior year.

Seems awful early for us to use an OV. That seemed to bit us a bit last cycle IMO.

That's not what bit us in last years class lol
Let me rephrase, seemed to bite us end of cycle with the new staff. Had some players come in early and then lost momentum as they visited other schools later.

Still, they only had so much time. Take your swing.

This time around I think most classes will have most of the hay in the barn a lot earlier.

Unofficials are up too.

I'm sure there's a few guys they've asked to wait til fall for the OV also.

There was a purpose behind that last cycle...was trying to get some to sign early, like Griffin.

Would love to have Lampley, Morris and Wright commited by summer. What a trio that would be along with whoever else we get.

It is but makes sense here. Morris is making his commitment in May so you got to take your shot now after auburn pulled out all the stops

Making his commitment in May , but not signing until December. I dont like burning his official this early. Coaches have a plan though so I trust them.

With the new early signing and early OV rules, coaches will have to adjust their tactics. Most of these kids that are doing these early OV's are planning on using them all before their senior season so if you wait you won't get one at all. They want to have all this out of the way and decision made so they can focus on their senior year. There will still be a lot of them who don't want to get it out of the way and want to enjoy the process longer that will take them later. It will be up to the coaches to determine what type of kid needs each approach. Multiple recruits and reports have mentioned that Pruitt seems to have a knack for knowing exactly what each recruit is looking for and focusing on it. Be it academics, playing time, scheme/role, etc. I wouldn't worry to much about this just because one or two gambles in his first week didn't work out.
