'19 GA OL Wanya Morris (Tennessee signee)

I touched on this topic on the board, but the news 4-star offensive tackle Wanya Morris visited Auburn last week with his mother along with the fact he recently spent multiple days there and will return this weekend for his official, can’t be viewed as anything but positive for the Tigers. Morris, a Grayson (Ga.) standout, will announce his college decision May 1. It's Auburn or Tennesssee. We don’t yet have word on how the weekend’s official went to Tennessee, other than his public comments that everything was great. After he visits Auburn again, that will make a combined three visits there spread over eight days in April alone. That’s after making three trips to Auburn earlier in the year. I still need more to put my Crystal Ball on the Tigers, but the whole “follow the visits” thing certainly is on my mind.

I swear there is only one name I really fear seeing in recruiting. Auburn has sealed the deal late in the process so many times against us it's ridiculous.

Not to be argumentative, but curious to know what makes you say that. I know Wright is ranked higher but Morris plays against the best competition in the country. It could be argued he’s much less of a risk.

I don't know. Size wise they are very similar. Both have excellent offer list. Of the little video I've watched Wright looks a little more dominate physically but as you pointed out that could be the reflection of the competition each face. I guess those Georgia boys that suddenly swing towards Auburn taint my views toward them a bit. That might not be fair but that's kinda the way I see it. More guilty by association I guess.

I love VN.

"Did you see the tense he used? Vol lock!"

I would love it if we got Wanya a but these kids know how to play this. He is talking to reporters that cover UT. They are going to slant their questions and he is going to slant his answers to UT. I hope I'm wrong but I think we may be reading to far between the lines here.

Glad you love VN. I do too. Great forum.

But I never called him a lock and have said I’m giving my interpretation and reading tea leaves. Maybe I’m a homer and naive and in denial et cetera. But I don’t care. I stand by my belief that he ends up here.

I apologize. I wasn't directing that towards you in particular. I know you simply stated that you have a good feeling. I was simply noting how we are famous for taking the slightest detail, like the pronoun or tense that a recruit uses and extrapolating detailed information as to why said recruit will or will not come to UT. I love it and hope it continues. It makes the board more enjoyable and reckless optimism never hurt anyone!

-bogle article

The Bogle Quote:
“it was a great experience getting a chance to hang out with coach (charles) kelly, coach (jeremy) pruitt, coach tino (sunseri) all the coaches in general. It was great,” bogle said. “i just wanted to see the atmosphere with the fans. I like it a lot. They show a lot of love. It was just great.”

december's signing day is a long ways away, but bogle said the vols will remain fresh on his mind because it's not going to be his last trip to knoxville. “actually, i'm coming back in the summer,” bogle said. “it's going to be me wanya, and jalen curry. We are coming back.”

morris told volquest he would be back if he selects the vols on may 1st and curry said he was planning on returning either this summer or in the fall. Bogle said off the field tennessee's business school and their vfl program stood out to him and on the field, he saw a really good fit.

“i'm like a stand up d-end. So i can play in the 3-4 or the 4-3. I can move around. I can drop back into coverages when they need me to. Jam the tight end man to man. Just certain stuff that i think i could be a big factor for them,” bogle offered.

Bogle was impressed with the entire atmosphere at tennessee from the fans to everything in the program including the coach jeremy pruitt. “he has won five national championships. He has played in six. He's great. Almost all the coaches have won a national championship.”

the 6-5, 220 pounds, bogle isn't done with early official visits. His next is set to be to southern cal, as he hopes to take some of the burden off of trying to get all is visits in. “i am trying to get two or three official visits in before my senior year so after my season i only worry about a couple more. I just felt like right now was the best time to visit tennessee.”

if he selects the vols on may 1st
