'19 GA OL Wanya Morris (Tennessee signee)

Carvin will be solid. I actually think Lane exceeds his ranking/expectation and becomes a staple in the middle. Wanya this year. Maybe Wright as well.

Possibly Bryn Tucker and a few Memphis kids come ‘20.

Won’t be long before we’re steamrolling other teams.

Program becomes legit when the big uglies gravitate towards it. Hardest unit to sell...but when it’s sold?

I think Friend will have our OL playing at a much more competitive level by next season (at least in the run game).

Still need to add a few stud OTs like Morris and Wright, though.

Morris stay at T or does he move inside? UT needs a couple big time guards on board to get a stout line.

tackle....this kid plays with a mean streak. Went back and watched the North playoff game and he was a monster, coaching cost them that game.

Gotta think he's an OT all the way.

We need OTs more than OGs in the short term. If we get Smith back, then we've got one top tier OG for two more seasons. Some combination of Locklear/Carvin will likely hold down the RG spot. Guys like Lane, Brooks, and Calbert have potential that Friend should be able to work with. Lampley will come in at OG next year (hopefully spring).

OT, on the other hand, we've got Richmond for at least one more year, Hall for (hopefully) one more year, and Tatum as guys who've played there. Smith could always move outside, but he's elite at OG. Hard to tell what we've got in Niehaus at OT. Jamir Johnson will have 3 years to make an impact, but it's probably asking a little too much to expect him to win a starting job year 1. Antonutti has the frame and athleticism, but he's a developmental guy who needs at least a RS year (if not two years) in the S&C program before he's ready for SEC play.

I'd imagine the pitch to Morris is that he can make a push to contribute at OT as a Freshman and then, in all likelihood, be a starter for us at OT for at least 2 more years.

👍🏻 To all of this except, correct me if I’m wrong, but MBA doesn’t let players graduate early so we’ll have to wait on Lampley until the summer.

Can’t believe UGA isn’t even in the running for this kid ... he’s a 5star & he’s right in there backyard ... something just scares me about this commitment tomorrow ... hope he doesn’t pull a UGA hat out from under the table like Quay Walker did us

They want him but he doesn't like their depth chart so he's not interested. He wants to go somewhere he can start early.
