You guys make solid points as there may well be someone show out their first year. Maybe it's BVS, but I'd rather take the approach of being pleasantly surprised vs get excited then they don't deliver right off. I think the odds are that the vast majority need some time to develop.

You can do all that without trying to squash everyone else's excitement. I understand bvs but like other forms of misery it seems to always want company.

Hey man, it's your prerogative...

But I will say "I told you so" when the time comes. And I'm sure you won't mind lol.

My apologies - merry Christmas to you!
No worries. Everyone has a little bvs from the past decade plus. And some people go too far with expecting incoming freshmen to be all Americans right away. They probably do need to temper expectations as much as some need to raise them. Merry Christmas to you too.

Funny thing, the high schoolers with SEC offers, later on become SEC lineman...

And Buford is no regular high school program. Their lineman are much more equppied and just better than other high school lineman!
About 30 percent of lineman with SEC offers become contributing Olineman. most of the olineman that he would be going up against next year will be 3 or 4 years older than him also.

This kid is already an atheletic freak but he is still going to be a freshman. Just like any recruit he will continue to get stronger, bigger and quicker with time spent in a SEC strength and conditioning program.

Most people will understand that it takes time and development to become the next Derrick Barnett. But seeing the talent and ability isn’t a difficult task. He has all the tools to become a really good player, and the coaching and support staff to get him there. So Vol Nation having itself a few grandiose expectations may not, in fact, be unwarranted.*

Just the Guaranteed instant impact player theme. Kmac and Kongbo broke me from ever believing that again about a recruit. Hope you're right and this cat does everything you hope for!

The biggest difference is Kmac sat out of football for a year and Kongbo was new to football.

Harrison has been playing since he was a kid and is built like a mule, that being said you should always be tempered for a Freshman just coming in, there are always variables that could happen.

The good news is if Harrison does have the mental and mechanical aspects of his game he has the ability to start right away because the coaches don’t have to do any maintenance on him as far as strength and conditioning goes.

Exactly can’t even imagine how much he is going to be lifting with Fitz.... literally has no fat on his body... Fitz is just going to make him stronger day 1.
With guys like him, Crouch, Tank, Morris we are getting players who seem to have a different mentality. Hopefully these guys rub off on some of the older players and not the other way around. Will be a wakeup call when freshman are showing up stronger than current players.

Exactly and I think that is what this staff wanted. They want guys who they don’t have to do much with other then get them in the routine. It helps depth immediately, all they have to do is work on technique and playbook. Heck did you see Savion Williams today working on explosiveness and speed..... he is a freak athlete too.

What does this guy weigh again? He looks lean. Definitely don't mean that in a bad way either.

I think around 230-245

Edit: His recruiting thing says 252 so he could easily weigh around that with as much muscle as he has.

I said it before in this thread that Fitz is gonna be throwing protein bars at him until he gets that core built. That’s why everybody is saying he can even get up to end size. He has so friggin much potential it’s crazy.

How much does he need to weigh to be that size?
