This has more of a Pappoe feel to it than Washington. People forget how many penciled him to UGA just because he was an in-State 5 star. I think Auburn is more of a threat to us here than UGA right now

I’m not 100% sure in that, I’m just saying if I was guessing, they are. And I’m basing that on the Owen Pappoe recruitment. 5 star kid from Georgia that doesn’t talk much, everyone just kinda assumes that because he’s a Georgia kid that Georgia wants, he’ll go there because of the narrative Kirby doesn’t miss on those kids. But then Auburn picks up momentum late and gets him. Everyone is surprised except them, because in the background he built a strong relationship with TWill (AU LB coach). Same thing could be happening here. That being said Mondon isn’t anywhere near as close with TWill as OP was, they were basically family.
