After losing to Bama? You thought that game would change anything?

Give him a non-pandemic season with a next generation QB and let's reevaluate. I know it's frustrating, but this year has caused all patience to be pushed back a year. This year means near nothing (predictive wise).

IF we are in this same spot at the END of Y4 (everyone should have learned their lesson last year of judging a team midseason), then that discussion becomes legitimate.

Some folks acting like the VOLS are the only team playing during a ā€œpandemicā€ year. Other teams seem to be playing like it means something.

The coaching staff threw in the towel yesterday on the first drive of the 3rd Qtr. I know Pruitt will be here thru 2021 because of the buyout. If it wasnā€™t for the buyout and we finish with 3 or 4 more additional losses, Pruitt would be gone.

Pruitt probably doesnā€™t survive a Kentucky or Missouri loss next year.. especially if they are around .500 mark.

I think we have to wait until we have 5th year seniors from the 2019 class. I know Iā€™m going to get flamed for saying that, but thatā€™s what Iā€™m thinking right now. This ā€fire him nowā€ mentality is killing the program just as much as the bad coaching. Look how long it took Stoops to build his program.

AV doesn't know anymore than VQ or 247. He's just more upfront about it and more willing to share tidbits VQ can't, or won't.

What's hilarious is the narrative he tries to spread about UGA's unethical recruiting like we're not doing the same things, but ya'll eat it up anyways and get clowned on endlessly by opposing fanbases.

If these recruits didn't like Kirby, they simply wouldn't go to UGA, but they do. Why? Because Kirby has proven he's a winner, he curbstomps his rivals annually, and puts players in the league. "bUt He ChokEs!!" "CaNt WiN wItH tHaT tAlEnT" He's 47-13 as a first time HC, meanwhile Pruitt has one more loss in half the games played between the two.

Exactly. Good post.

The "everybody is dealing with a pandemic" is not completely accurate. Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Florida (that I know for sure of) are not under the same contact tracing rules for quarantine as UT. They have not had as many players miss summer workouts and preseason practices. That's a fact. The degree that it has affected those programs relative to UT is anyone's guess.

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. But fahr Pruitt, right? Seems like the only solution šŸ˜†šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

yeah, Florida shut down all football related activiites. but in his defense, i think it was due to actual positive tests, not contact tracing quarantines.

Right. Talking about 2 different issues. Florida's protocols were a lot more relaxed than Tenn as far as what conditions require someone to quarantine. Recent outbreak is a different matter.

If everyone would think back, they'd remember Pruitt being pretty pissed off about the contact tracing protocols being different from school to school. It's looking like he was right to be pissed off.

I'm not defending this staff after the UK debacle, but to completely ignore the situation Pruitt walked into versus the state of the UGA program when Kirby was hired is beyond foolish.

Kirby has that 47-13 record because he walked into a loaded program in a state that arguably produces the most talent in the nation. His recruiting has never been in question, and his team has won in spite of his game management gaffes. Had he been hired rather than Pruitt, I'm not sure his record at UT would be much butter than Pruitt's.

So it's that what we've decided we are going with?
That explains the blowout loss to.kentucky?

Lots of back on forth here so I just want to be clear

It may not entirely explain the loss to UK, but to act like UT's strict COVID-19 protocols (allegedly the most strict in the SEC) that put many players on the shelf for weeks at a time did not affect, to some extent, this team's performance thus far is disingenuous.

Did our players go into contact tracing protocols because they were around other players that tested positive or around people outside the program that tested positive?
