I actually do think Frost is a good coach and will rebound somewhere else in a few years.

Nebraska is a helpless program. Leaving the Big 12 and losing their old recruiting ties to Texas was a horribly short sighted decision.
What doomed Nebraska more than anything was the NCAA beginning to take PED testing seriously. Tom Osborne was 100% juicing those kids in the 90s. There’s no other way they could’ve outmanned loaded Tennessee and Florida teams as badly as they did.

Program’s got every resource to flourish. We just overrated Frost.
I can't disagree with that, especially resources; but, leaving their roots has brought them nothing but a doormat so far.

I just believe that there are some programs that should always stay where they are, they're perfect there...Nebraska is one of those programs. No business being in the Big 10...two totally different people and cultures.

All they really have is history and a loyal fanbase. So do we. That’s obviously not enough anymore.
Beyond loyal…it’s manic. Got every bit of the money and contracts big players have. Just haven’t hired the right architect. “So do we” covers that.

B, you don't think leaving, and not only leaving, but joining the Big 10, has hurt them, destroyed them, as of right now.

But, I agree...a great hire changes EVERYTHING.

Like us, they wanted no dip from the latter portion of Osborne’s tenure without cognizance that the old coach had to reinvent because his teams got too slow in the late 80’s and early 90’s. So they fired Solich who’s a very solid Patterson/Cutcliffe type and haven’t recovered. Big 10 fits em better than what the Big 12 has become…but it’s negligible imo. Big 12 is Texascentric while Big 10 serves at the pleasure of tOSU. Frost is both overrated (I did) and in a damn hurry. Bad formula.

No such thing as “destroyed”. Too much money available.

The UCF regressed after he took the job take is beyond lazy and honestly I dont care if I offend anyone....it's stupid. They only had one way to go after an undefeated season morons. Plus his first year there, his only loss was to LSU, the team that would win the natty the next year. Recruiting stayed around the same range it did with Frost, and he really only got beat down in one game against BYU. I believe the other losses were very close games, and 4 came in a Covid year. I get it, it's not an excuse but it's still worth noting when several big time players sat out.

Yep dude only one one loss of double digits. All others came down to last possession. Easily could have won all but one of the few that were lost. Regressed so bad that he put 5 UCF kids in nfl draft which was their most ever. No idea about his recruiting but he clearly can coach and develop players

Big 10 fits old Nebraska better, as far as what we think, whenever we think of Nebraska offense; but, a Frost led Nebraska, and his offense, wouldn't it fit perfectly in the Big 12?

tOSU and Penn State do aight. 3 yards and a cloud of dust went the way of Woody Schembechler. 😎

Yes intentional.

Right now, they lay in ruin, much like us...but, as I said, the right hire changes everything. But, I do agree with you, everything is there to rise back up: top 5 to 10 resources in the entire country, facilities and stadium, fan base...they also have a big presence on social media from what I've seen. So, yeah, we're in agreement there...the right guy to work with all that can bring them back.

Buy, right now, they're a doormat, in unfamiliar territory both in relevance and conference, and the move has benefitted them nothing. I'd much rather go head to head with Texas and Oklahoma, in that territory, on the field, in recruiting, as Nebraska...than go head to head with tOSU, in not only their territory, but any territory.

Nebraska was dumb leaving big 12. Hurt their recruiting. I still think Frost is a really high ceiling coach. He just picked the wrong job that was available at time based on emotion. He can still win at Nebraska if they give him time. Longer rebuild for his style of play based on that recruiting territory and conference. Speed ain’t exactly what that state and conference is built on. He would have killed it at one of the Florida Big 3. He would have likely also had earlier success at TN since easier to talk a SE kid into TN than Nebraska
