What's the logic for Clemson of no OVs in June?
In short, he’s stubborn. He likes to save all OVs for fall instead of spring/summer. That’s fine for a normal year, this isn’t a normal year. When you have kids on campus for the first time in over a year and they want to commit before their senior season, you accommodate them, not the other way around. You want to show your university in the brightest light, which is normally the OV, wine and dine them and show them the best you have to show.

It might have cost him Travis Shaw and Daylen Everette. They have fallen behind other recruitments as well.

I hope your dawgs blast them game 1.

No. Not always...
I’ve given my opinion on JH based off what I know about him and UCF since I’ve lived there, and watched many of their games etc. I’ve said our current recruiting won’t cut it in the long run but that it isn’t his fault. Looming sanctions due to dumbass Pruitt are to blame. The cup is bare currently, achieving a bowl game this year would be great to me. I have faith in his ability to coach QBs not so sure about other positions, I just know UCF regressed once he became the head guy. At the end of the day time will tell all

There is not enough evidence to say that they regressed….. anyone that uses the covid season is ridiculous…. They went 12-1 and second year they went 9-3 even having to play a true freshman qb…. His defense his second year gave up less total yards than Alabama and he only lost 3 games by less than 7 points each game…. Does that mean he will win? No, but it definitely doesn’t show that he will struggle either.

As for recruiting…. He is recruiting good enough with development and scheme to stake claim to our spot right below the top dogs…. Once we do that, recruiting will continue to improve and maybe we can compete with the top teams in the sec.

I think it’s ridiculous to not look at the covid season. By that logic we should’ve kept Pruitt if the rule breaking didn’t occur. Every team is impacted by covid. I know UCF was hit harder than most but only 2 were starters. Some had never played yet. At the end of the day none of us know, time will tell. If he surrounds himself with great coaches I think he will be fine bc I 100% have faith in his ability to coach QBs

4 starters I believe and some of the others were solid 2nd teamers which we know from personal experience is critical for success. They did get hit harder than most teams. Then there’s strength of team you lost to and margin you lost. In both categories I’d say UCF was better than UT last year. We’re freaking out on a Kentucky team now that we beat 99/100 in most years, that’s how bad we were and I expect them to look much different this year.

That’s the issue every team was affected to varying degrees….. I don’t think Pruitt should have been fired bc of the 3 win season due to all the restrictions that he faced on the Tennessee campus…. All of the things that came out about Pruitt showed to me that we made the right decision to move on from him…. It’s difficult losing any starters and ten overall for depth can be pretty difficult as well…. Besides the players…. All the interrupted practices…. Shortened practices and many other challenges can effect each team differently.

I just know UCF regressed once he became the head guy.
Well, no. You don't "know" that. Frost was 19-7 at UCF preceding Heupel who even with the unknowns of the Covid season went 28-8. In order to get to "he regressed" you have to view '20 as a normal year.... which is completely unreasonable.

Time indeed will tell but you aren't being "realistic" whatsoever. You aren't starting from neutral and waiting to see what he does. You are starting with an unrealistic bias and judging him through that prism.

Of all the reasons to be cautious about CJH, this is the laziest and most disingenuous.

He took over a 13-0 program at a school that doesn’t recruit at a level capable of maintaining such heights. There’s literally only one direction you can go in. There is a very, very short list of coaches/programs that maintain that level of success.

Good.
Now I hope your puppies lose every game next year.

Dang, we should of took the guy that led them to 13-0! Where is he? I bet he’s beating Saban by now…

I actually do think Frost is a good coach and will rebound somewhere else in a few years.

Nebraska is a helpless program. Leaving the Big 12 and losing their old recruiting ties to Texas was a horribly short sighted decision.

The UCF regressed after he took the job take is beyond lazy and honestly I dont care if I offend anyone....it's stupid. They only had one way to go after an undefeated season morons. Plus his first year there, his only loss was to LSU, the team that would win the natty the next year. Recruiting stayed around the same range it did with Frost, and he really only got beat down in one game against BYU. I believe the other losses were very close games, and 4 came in a Covid year. I get it, it's not an excuse but it's still worth noting when several big time players sat out.
