Hardy was already signed to Auburn but it was a miss just the same. They also have erased Darnell Washington from memory. CJP has been a damn excellent recruiter here without a doubt and has identified and closed on the vast majority of targets. The 20 class is full of mid to low 4 stars many of which climbed the rankings and showed our staff’s ability to recognize undervalued talent. But yeah, revisionist history is a popular coping mechanism for BVS sufferers.

LOL nobody gets them all. Saban missed on HT and lots of others. Should AL fans be have coping mechanisms to deal with it.... I don't see the need in obsessing over the 200 we recruited instead of the 25 we signed.

Just saying it’s convenient to leave out the few misses we did have just like it was convenient for you to ignore my praising the staff’s recruiting. Acknowledging a miss isn’t the same as obsessing over it.

But the whole point of his post was to point out who all Pruitt and company have closed on after other fans saying he can't close. He can and has. He does not have to get every single player he recruits to be a good recruiter. My point was there will be misses so there is no need to acknowledge them when you are pointing out who you did not miss on. (And the only thing I disagreed with you on was the last sentence of anyone that does not bring up every miss is revising history to cope with BVS. So I wasn't actually ignoring it. Just didn't see the need of going over it.)

It wasn’t even your post I was referring to. It was whoever had CJP at 100% on his signing day targets. So while I’ll praise he and staff’s crootin’ all the live long day as it’s been great, I’ll also point out that the 100% notion just isn’t accurate. I know it’s not popular while everyone’s on orange cloud 9 right now but we have to maintain some objectivity. It’s time to turn some of this success on the trail into contending on the field. LFG, GBO, WGWTFA, etc.

1. I said it was his post. 2. I also said 100% is a totally unrealistic goal that is impossible to meet so there's no need to address it at all. 3. Orange cloud 9 doesn't require losing objectivity. Our coaches are recruiting very well. Well is not perfection.
