I was with him and his family recently and truly feel like this one could go our way. I suspect I will get a final word the night before or morning of the commitment from the staff...we shall see. Regardless the fact that we are now competing and truly in the mix for this type of talent speaks VOLUMES of how far we have come as a program and with our network.

Mims has been telling Vandergriff that he is going to UGA since June.

He probably will go to UGA, but just last cycle Jay Hardy was telling TN recruits he was coming with them. We saw how that turned out.
The more I follow college football recruiting the less I know.

Recruiting is a weird deal..now it feels like this was all just another Kurby Dumb setup wild goose chase to get us to waste time and massive amounts of resources on a kid he knew was his all along...I guess that makes us the dumb ones.

People just need to realize nothing is ever set in stone in recruiting. Nobody can say unequivocally that a recruit is coming here or there. It can never be an exact science and some people can't handle the wild swings. People get played all the time. Sometimes recruits feel slighted, sometimes families and coaches get involved and they feel slighted, and sometimes it's used to get more "benefits". Just the nature of the business.

Completely incorrect...none of the sought after kids actually pay their own way when they come on visits...

I WANT to believe . . . I truly do . . . but we've had the rug pulled out from under us in so many similar situations I'm still skeptical he goes anywhere but UGA. If he was from any other state but GA, I think we get him.
