Do you really think that circle jerk of an argument has sustainability? Geez you definitely are a doggy fan. That’s funny. The reverse is actually true. UT benefitted the most from the 90s when we were down. It’s not absurd to see us keeping our elite talent in-state. Jamal Lewis almost certainly would’ve been a Dawg had we been elite in the 90s. That’s one example. Richt started shutting that pipeline off and as SC and Clemson became relevant that shut off SC where UT would cherry pick. LSU was crap back then too. Now all of these programs are at least competitive.
Also, I think Richt generally tried to do it the right way too. It isn't a coincidence that Kirby came in and recruiting skyrocketed to the stratosphere literally overnight.
That's back when I used to be as big of a sunshine pumper as @GojiraVol17 is now... the years have ruined me lolOne of ol HatVols minion bootlickers.
That is an ol school VN reference for those that don't know.
UGA moved up to No. 7 on the composite with Mims, just ahead of us and UF with only 16 commitments, if they get Mondon, Green and TID they'll be Top 3.If I were a betting man, I expect UGA to grab Green and Mondon soon enough. Mims was just the first. UGA will finish with a top 5 class when it's all said and done. UT will just have to hope their 3 star evals are all spot on. I'm guessing a 10-15 class for the Vols.
We are # 8 on the composite at the moment, but yes, us holding that position will depend on closing on some of remaining elite targets, including maybe some flippage, and handing out some git shirts to some of our lower ranked commits. We are # 15 as of yesterday. The other teams will catch us in the number of recruits.
