His teammate is Ramel Keyton too. Hopefully if Keyton signs with UT it could help with Bailey.
Posted this in the Keyton thread, but it probably bears repeating here:
Shared [the rivals article] with a guy who's pretty close to UT recruiting, has known most of these kids since they were in middle school, and he said the implications of Bailey's picks shouldn't be minimized. UT was apparently most of their dream schools, but that was lost during the Jones years. He thinks its picking back up some steam.
I know it should all be taken with a grain of salt, but it was exciting to hear that. He's feeling pretty good about a couple of the guys mentioned, but he wouldn't specify.
Normally don't see a QB commit for the next class when there isn't one for the current one but then again he is better than any QB in this class we have pursued so it would make sense. He def loves some Vols
Youd think the staff has made it more than obvious theyre slow playing a QB this cycle because hes the priority. Seems that way to me, anyway.
Id say they want at least a silent from him and they will stop recruiting qbs and maybe take another grad transfer qb with one year eligibility to fill chryst spot in the qb room. Perhaps they already have a silent from him.
I dont know if a silent would be enough to just stop recruiting QBs. There is always that chance he could change his mind.
I understand he could change his mind but there are also other great qbs in the 2020 class that would be interested in us. But dont see this one turning sour. Truly believe he will be a vol when all said and done. Not insider info just my educated opinion.
