He is as good as any QB I have seen in GA. I have stated before that my kids play in the youth program for the Blue Devils and we go to every game. He is going to be a star.

The is a lot of misconception about the Marietta team. While they are talented it is limited to pretty much skill positions on offense and DBs. The OL has been very poor his 3 years starting this far. Part of the problem is he's never really had any SRs. His FR year Marietta started like 17 or 18 FR and SO's, almost all of which were FR. Even last year there were only I think 3 SRs starting with Keyton being one and he was hurt a good portion of it, the others were LBs. Wray would have helped a lot on the OL last season and he was hurt a good portion of it. The OL should be better this year, several of those guys will be 4 year starters and will be a lot bigger than they were as 14 year olds. You cant win with 14 and 15 year olds playing OL in GA when all the teams you play have multiple DL that sign D1 scholarships.

Bailey did beat Blessed Trinity the year before last. Trevor Lawrence lost his last HS game to them. I cant wait to see what he can do with a functioning OL, hopefully this season and then in college.

So it's obviously a different story than the narrative pushed all weekend by BVS survivors. Kid had a bad day. We all do. He must be doing something right to bomb the first day and steadily move up the rankings. Anytime there is bad news on Volnation, wait 3 days and then see if it's still bad. We over react way to much.
