It is not an attitude or mentality. It is a fact. Our team needs more quality depth at several positions, more than we need two QBs in this class. So why waste a scholarship on two QBs, esp thinking that one will leave? I think Pru hired Chaney for a boatload of money, telling him to get the best players and to coach them well and put high scores on the board. But scholarships are limited. Every need and best case cannot be filled in one or two classes.

He lost all credibility by being disingenuous. But, his little brother probably had his phone.....

If Dobbs had not been taken as a second QB because they had Riley Ferguson in the fold, how would our best seasons in recent memory have turned out? The coaches don't want a second QB in case someone transfers. Too many people regurgitate someone's opinion on this forum as fact. I promise you they have a way better handle on numbers and needs than you or I do. If they feel a second QB is necessary then it probably is very necessary.

Doesn't change my opinion of HB in the slightest, but surprised not to see him budge at all in the updated ESPN 300. Luginbill and Co are nuts.

He also noted "it's a weak QB class" when someone asked how the #1 rated QB was 48th.
