he has taken some shots...and gotten roughed up. Is that more about his own persona and ego, or is it truly self sacrificing for the team? This team lacks leadership.

Geronimo probably would be a better qb, i believe hes a rythym passer. If he had any semblance of a decent running game, he could set up PA. Problem is his arm isnt good enough to sling it, has no touch.

His game management skills lack. His Line is even worse. If y'all want frosh to play, dw, this line wont block for JG.

It wasn’t the line’s fault on the laser that was the first pass of the game to Chandler. It’s on him, he needs to put touch on the ball. And the same with the pass on 4th down to Palmer, no touch on it either. He was off target early and often and he had plenty of time to throw the ball. He didn’t see the blitz coming from the corner which led to the fumble. He has to see the defense cheating over to cover it and he completely missed it. I could continue but I won’t.

Seriously though if I am Jim Chaney I don’t GAF who the head coach is I would start anyone other than JG no matter what the HC said.

I know a lot of folks beating up JG and Chaney, but honestly the fault should be on the defense bc we scored enough to beat them. It’s like we have never seen anyone run the option nor were we able to adjust to it. Our DL has no push against GA state. Our LBs started out ok in the 1st half but clearly they have No depth.

Defense was inexperienced and unprepared for them.

But, the 3 turnovers on offense led to the loss. You can’t turn the ball over and expect to win.

Yeah love it. Spend 9 months watching all the news on football, getting lots of indication on team improving and wham 2 plays into the first game and the season already sucks. Great fun!!!!

Lol, little differently loved watching Stephen Hawking docs in college, fascinating. Theoretical stuff on Black Holes is cool.

The stats are misleading sometimes as well. 6 of his 12 ints in his junior year were tip drill ints that bounced off his receivers hands. He also had 11 tds passes that were dropped in the end zone. His team averaged 11 drops per game that year. His senior year looks much better due to the receivers getting better at catching. They only averaged 5 drops a game in 2018.

Hopefully he sticks. Then again im sure Pruitt and co will find a way to botch his development. Hope HB is good at throwing 6 year comeback routes bc thats our playbook apparently.

Not willing to go there. I know Pruitt can develop talent. Just look at a. Taylor and Thompson. Yesterday was just poor mismanagement and unwilling to properly prepare for GSU

If Bailey decommits, that is a death sentence for Pruitt. HB is the last shred of hope this fan base has to hold on to. Hope he can see that he is the future of the program and that Chaney would be a great teacher for him.

Based on what happened in the game yesterday , I have doubts about any Vol coach(including Chaney) being considered a great teacher. The play selection and clock management on the last drive in the first half was laughable.
