statistically, yes. there's marginal improvement....int's up this year though....and the biggest issue he has is his ability to throw with timing.
Hasselbeck said it best last night, JG has to see it first. to be the qb we need at the level we want to be he has to trust the route and the WR and throw it to where he's GOING to be. he has never done that with any consistency, and is his biggest issue.
i hate it for JG, cause i truly think he loves TN and wants to be "that guy"...but after 3 years of seeing him play, i can't get myself to believe he's going to be anything other than he is...incredibly frustrating to watch. i'm glad he got back in the game and got some modicum of redemption last night.
and we don't win out the way we did w/out JG's contributions the 2nd half of the season. so i take nothing away from him.
but he is what he is.
this off season is HUGE for our QB room.....we need an alpha to step up. and i honestly don't care who it is. the problem for the coaches is this: we know JG is a great practice QB, so we should expect the competition to include him to the end. it's gonna be up to the other QB's in the room to make up the difference on the practice field. which, is a good thing. competition should make them better, and if that's JG's lasting contrbution, so be it...be the guy that forces someone else to pass you on the depth chart.....there's a lot of value in that....especially on the football iq front.
anyway.......put on more steam! on to 20! GBO.
