“This is an educated guess, but I think Bailey ends up at Michigan. He had a great visit, Jim Harbaugh is a former quarterback himself and impressed Bailey and his family, and I think Bailey sees a chance to win a national title there. Tennessee could be the choice as it is closer to home, but I’ll pick Michigan.”

I get we don't have a shot of winning a title in 4 years, but if thats the thinking behind going to Michigan I believe he will be disappointed.

Michigan will have to beat OS to get there.

I'm not sure how "educated" the guess is, as HB has been very tight-lipped and careful throughout this process. I think Michigan is the safe bet here. There's just a lot of unknown around UT right now. We'll all (correctly) point out that Harbaugh still has to figure out how to get past OSU to be in the national title picture, but to the rest of the college football world, that's a funny argument coming from Tennessee fans, whose coaches and program still have to figure out how to get past the Vanderbilt's and South Carolina's before we can begin to even think about national titles.

For a 17 year old, he's handled this process very maturely and I'll wish him success wherever he goes. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised tomorrow and I certainly think there's a chance.

Very real possibility that the 'check in' was to pass on news of new OC to try and seal the deal. Most likely thru a coach rather than relying on a team mate's social media discretion with the news.

Lol they have to actually beat Ohio St and win their conference first...

Yeah, he can check in on Bailey without having contact with Bailey. Talk to his coaches or his teammate (Keyton).

With technology these days can do all kind of things such as sit with Keyton and HC and FaceTime with bailey in another room. Easy to get around

This is a keystone type of recruit in my mind. Even if he doesn't reclassify, players in this class would take note of this commitment. I think this is the most crucial announcement for Pruitt to be successful long term here. And if he ends up being a Trevor Lawerence type player on the field we are all the better.
Is "keystone" a hint that you think he's going to Penn State?

No... It would be like having Manning commit in the 90s kinda commit. It's a crying shame Butch screwed the pooch with Lawrence. I have no idea where Bailey is going. It's all speculation at this point.

It was just an attempt at a joke
