Let me just say that I agree with this 110%. The offense his high school runs translates well to our offense by the looks of it. He also reminds me a bit of Hook with the way he delivers the bomb, and how athletic he is. Getting Nico and this guy back to back would be absolutely huge. IMO Merklinger is a 4 star but he should be closer to a 5 star.

Which makes this interesting. A lot of people think Reddell is the top TE in the nation for this class. But if you get 3 freshmen than you got those 3 and a sophomore in Ethan Davis and that's it at TE for next year

Depending on decent TE talent yearly wanting an address change makes less sense to me. One of the three emerges first year and the other two redshirt? You begin a development process. Outsiders downplay the role of TE’s in Heupel’s offense…but they’re vital.

I honestly think we could take these three and a 2 year stop gap this off-season or 1yr next yr like the BYU LBer. 5 scholarship TEs isn’t an unheard of number for one season then in 2025 we’d have a Jr, two Sophs and a RS freshman most likely.

Just watched some of his highlights and I agree, think he could translate to our offense very easily. They throw the ball deep, a lot, and this guy seems to have great touch and accuracy on them, very catchable throws. Good wheels, might even be better than Hooker running. Oh, one throw in particular caught my attention. Rolling to his left, throwing on the run, and threw a laser about 20-25 yards. Very impressive. I would be very happy to get this guy!
