I was at the game and the fans at least were shell shocked. They went from "I cant believe we have to play Tennessee instead of a real team" to "can we forfeit the 4th".

I know it wasnt an offensive play but Berrys int in the end zone and return for a TD at the end of the game summed up the game perfectly. Even our second string D was dunking on them.

It was like watching ND play Bama for the National Championship game.

With Butchs success against the Big 10 I dont know why one of the small schools dont give him a chance.

Because he's a poser. He's an assistant that's where he should stay. His crap decisions set us back a lot. I agree our offense treated them like they were kids but I still dont think they were a bad defense. When our offense was clicking, which only seemed to be in the second half, they were elite. I thinks it's more of a testament to how good that offense was rather than how bad their defense was. #wastedtalent

After leaving here, he even admitted as much, saying that he had suffered multiple concussions and didn’t want to get hit anymore, which was why he wanted to transfer and change positions. Taking that into account, I don’t fault him a bit for putting his health first, especially with concussions being an issue.

Watch the bowl game against Northwestern. Coaches finally decided to run some power offense. He punished that northwestern defense. They looked like they didn’t want to even try to tackle him in the fourth quarter. Too bad we didn’t do that much in other games

He averaged a higher ypc in the 1st half than the 2nd.

The myth of him wearing defenses down was just that. That one commentator would say how he "lathered up" and yet year after year he was worse in the 2nd half.

Then again, that seems to be a common myth. Runners and OLs seem to wear down as much, or more, than a rotating defense.

Quick side note here while we’re discussing our mutual hate from the pups, has anyone seen the “Atlanta Vol” Twitter account the last week or so? Not sure it’s the same AV we all know and love but dude is all over the Georgia fans on the Twitter sphere lmao

Definitely agree about wasted talent. Generally agree with the rest, but still believe their D was not as good as the ranking.

Was that the game that Dobbs jumped in from like 7 yards out? Dobbs inside the 10 was unstoppable and would will himself into the endzone.

Really excited about this kid. Feels like one of those blue collar, put on the hard-hat, get down to work bruisers. Jamal Lewis was around this size out of high school iirc.
