Exactly, which is why I never called for Martinez to be fired, and even said he's had a great year. But not being able to take the momentum of this season and carry that over into recruiting, is cause for concern. I trust this coaching staff but call a spade a spade. I'm more than happy to eat crow if the 2026 class is different and the secondary play continues to be goodThis isn't a "fire all the coaches!" moment, but it's also not a "ho-hum, nothing to worry about" moment either. If you don't give a damn, then fine, don't give a damn. But it is a problematic loss this close to the ESP.
But there’s no reason to separate the two.McCoys are not going to be easy to get every year. I’m just saying our db and oline recruiting has been not good/ mediocre
They WERE at their worst point just 6 weeks ago.lol…you are worried about UF right now? You will always be worried about them then. Regardless of recruiting, they are their worst point in their program in many years. Any coach at UF should be able to recruit- nothing new at all. Holy moly.
If we can’t get him back then yeah.Boo and Harrison can play safety
Got a guy coming back from injury
Safety will be fine
Get a portal guy
The response to my original post was most certainly worrying about UF with Lagway. All I said was that it’s tough to overcome the noise this year and that they have the same tough schedule next year. I don’t expect UF to be a playoff team. I’m stating facts too and projecting that Billy Napier still has a bunch of work to do to keep his job. Pretty simple. They WERE at their worst point just 6 weeks ago.
Now they have beaten two of their arch rivals and knocked Ole Miss out of the playoffs.
Nobody is worried- it’s just stating facts.
I wish the people that hate on Elarbee would spend some of that energy on Martinez instead. We finally got a year of good secondary play this year so kudos for that but our secondary was dogwater the previous three and in four classes he's only landed one guy in the top-200 (Boo Carter)

Like what are we doing when your top commits are all from a previous coaching staff
Sounds like a money issue.i feel like he just made something up with that quote as an excuse, what could possibly be lied to about and your not even on campus yet.
I’m just not going to lose sleep over a decommit at the most dime a dozen position in footballThis isn't a "fire all the coaches!" moment, but it's also not a "ho-hum, nothing to worry about" moment either. If you don't give a damn, then fine, don't give a damn. But it is a problematic loss this close to the ESP.
